Note: Edited for Clarity/Crammer. I have had two different experiences with this location, once when I was experiencing pain in my lower leg after a race, and much later after I had surgery to reconstruct my ACL and repair a lat. meniscus tear. I have not had experience with other rehab centers working with a physical therapist, but have had experience with a personal trainer. Two different categories I know, but my personal training experience did leave me with a positive experience about what it means to have a personal relationship between health/fitness professional and client, so that was my frame of reference going in for a long rehab. Unless you are marked as a «one-on-one» at VPT, you aren’t really worked with down to a personal level — as in, one therapist whose guiding you through everything. It’s more like, any therapist that’s working that day will give you your exercises, watch you do one, and then often walk off to help another client. Which is for the most part okay, because you will often be doing a lot of the same exercises with minor modifications in reps/sets/weights here and there(and add-on exercises in time). However, If you’re looking for a very guided personal experience, I’m not sure you can get that here. To be fair, I’m not sure how different your experience would be if you are marked as a one-on-one patient(I actually was, at least for some of the sessions? but it didn’t seem to make a difference). If you do end up being treated here, I would advise that if you find something painful or too easy, pipe-up, no one knows how you feel unless you say something. The therapists there are not always standing right next to you, so they won’t be able to gauge a facial expression of pain, or see how bored you are if it’s too easy. They are often working with multiple patients at a time. This probably saves on cost and number of patients they can accommodate. But I digress… Overall, every person on the staff is extremely nice, accommodating, and it’s easy and convenient to schedule appointments. The facility is kept comfortable and very neat and clean, and having the TV’s on is always a good distraction. They seem to have good knowledge of the programs for different injuries, but you may get slightly different advice about your injuries and types of exercises depending on who you are working with that day. As a personal note, the e-stim therapy coupled with some exercises while you’re at the clinic works just okay. Adding additional exercises at home(perhaps different than you work on in clinic, if cleared with the doc.), will yield the best results in recovery in my experience. That being said, depending on what type of therapy you’re looking for, this could be a good fit. If you’re looking for very guided and personal physical therapy experience, it may not be the best fit for you. If you’re just looking for a clean, convenient, knowledgeable and loosely guided therapy, this place meets all that criteria and has super friendly staff.

After tearing my ACL I knew I was in for a long and painful rehab, but the staff at Village PT really made the process a pleasant experience. I don’t make a habit of tearing ligaments, so I didn’t have any prior experience with a PT facility, but the staff is incredible. Everyone is very polite and knowledgeable. At times, they are all very busy, but I’ve have never felt like my therapy was neglected. When I started my pain levels were very high, and my flexibility was very low, but after just a few sessions, I noticed significant progress. The facility is medium-sized but not cramped. It’s always very clean and well maintained and there are LCDTV’s throughout the facility to entertain you. If you find yourself in a position that requires PT, check this place out. I would not hesitate to refer this place to anyone.
