Sonic

I have been a frequent visitor to this location for years. We really like their food, slushes, and diet cherry limeade. I like it because I can get breakfast from the regular menu instead of having to order breakfast food. About 90% of the time, they do not include condiments in the order. Today, I placed a to-​go order and asked for ranch dressing for the cheese fries, and BBQ sauce for the chicken strips combo (which included regular fries). When the young man brought my food out, he read the order back to me; including the sauces I’d requested. When I left and we opened the order, there was not a single sauce. I got two packs of salt. More frustrating, we weren’t at home where we could get our own sauces. Because this happens so often, I called the manager to tell him. First he (Francisco) launches into an explanation of their restaurant policy to not charge for sauces. That was not the issue. The issue was that there were NO sauces in the order, that I had specifically requested. Additionally, there wasn’t any ketchup for the regular fries, either. I’m estimating that we visit that location about three — five times a week. Because of his response, we will not go back. He told me that he would «watch» to see that his staff adds the condiments. I told him it is an on-​going problem, not an occasional lapse. He offered nothing to compensate for the fact that I’d ordered sauces, the carhop read them off to me when he delivered the order, they were printed on the ticket (and on the screen), and they delivered nothing. Most disappointing.

After a combined 20 minutes trying to get 3 hot dogs on $ 1 day (about 7 minutes and a couple of red button presses to even get my order placed and then almost 15 waiting for the food), I had to cancel my order and ask that they not charge my card. I’m guessing that I am going to eat the $ 3, but whatever. I arrived at 1:30, not the heart of lunch rush and was able to find an open stall (there were plenty) immediately. Clearly, they forgot that this is one of their busiest days of the year and didn’t staff for it… sarcasm is free.

I have been eating at this Sonic since I moved to Richardson over 18 years ago. Besides some cosmetic changes to keep the place «fresh» the food has remained the same. Phenomenal! And it is just so CLEAN! The servers are genuine and make certain you have all the condiments and things you need. And if you like your tray in the car and make a big mess, just push the red button and someone will skittle out to pick it up for you. Make certain to sign up for all the great offers and be sure and use a Sonic Card when paying. Free burgers, text alerts, you name it! Yesterdays feast was just so good! Large onion rings! Giant cheese-​burger and a large DIET coke with watermelon flavor.

I go to this sonic rather frequently, as I work right now the street. Over the past 2 years I’ve probably gone exceeding 40 times and I’ve never had a bad experience. The food always comes out quickly and fresh. Drinks are absolutely on point every time. Also very sweet employees!

I was berated that if I went by a Sonic and didn’t stop my partner was going to no longer talk to me.
After buying my dinner for the night I saw the fast food mecca, and promptly cut the wheel to turn in. Got a Diet Cherry Limeade. Amazing. Felt bad I had to have someone come out in the cold to bring me a drink, but I just had too! Also, the credit card machine was finicky but I think it was due to the cold temps.

I stop in for breakfast fairly regularly. It’s on my way to the office and makes for a quick stop. The young lady that runs the morning shift is THE BOMB! She’s very quick to take orders and even faster and running them to your car.
The food is consistant and tasty. It is a fast food chain, so, you are getting greasy, non-​healthy junk… but sometimes, that’s just what the doctor ordered.
so, call it what it is– but it’s fast and convenient.
Big props to the staff here!

It’s a pretty basic sonic… Not over the top friendly… But not rude, either… So 3 stars will suffice!

These guys do the job better than other Sonic’s I’ve been to.
Never a wrong order and the service is always fast.
Unlike Stephen W., I have never had a problem with the credit card machines here.
I do agree with him though… using a CC? Toss the server something too.

Come here off and on for lunch (work down the street)…They have not yet once screwed up my order… impressive in my eyes… Service is quick and the servers polite. My only complaint is that when I go to pay with card, the little swipy box things do not seem to work very often. On a side note, give the servers a buck or 2 if you can, they usually don’t get tips when people pay by CC… Also, the place does look slightly run down though.
