I had to visit Plano for work, and the Residence is near our location so I thought what the heck. They have a pool, hot tub and a decent breakfast every morning. Monday– Weds they have drinks and snacks in for dinner/cocktail hour. The rooms need updating. I came in from work to find my bathroom flooded. The maintenance guy said I could cut the water on and off as I needed or I could try to get a new room. The staff gave me a room that was a suite, so I now had a much bigger room. Overall its save, in a good location, but needs some work.

Okay hotel. Rooms are very old and small. The pool was very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was quite good and the staff in the lodge were very friendly. I’d like to see the rooms updated.

Wow we just checked in yesterday so this review is gonna focus on an extraordinary young lady! Thyme at the front desk was warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. We are making a cross country move to this area and we know nothing about Dallas. She was SO informative and patient with all our questions and with her help we were able to look at two days worth of potential homes in one!!! I also witnessed her handle a very demanding(and in my humble opinion, a bit ridiculous) guest with grace, kindness and patience. Thyme is quite the asset and we are excited to explore the rest if the area and the property with her guidance!

Just like home sweet home; offers basketball court, outdoor grills and workout room. As state in my previous review for the Residence Inn for San Diego/Gaslamp District location, this is a very comfortable place to stay. If you are looking for comfort at a reasonable price, this is the place! They have a fully functional kitchen for you to cook in if you are staying at an extended period of time. The room is spacious and clean! Location is a bit remote but you’re staying in Dallas, on the border of Plano, so there are some resident homes in the surrounding area. Overall, we had a great experience and this is definitely a great alternative stay!

The room was clean and the staff very nice. I went down for breakfast and the pancakes you had to saw with a knife and the last of the eggs were nasty. Everything else was great. Specifically got this hotel because of the jacuzzi and pool. First night jacuzzi did not work. I did tell the front desk, and by the next night it was working. Pool was very frigid. Couldn’t even wade in that.

I posted a review on their website but they did display it, I want to say that the hotel was not and but the representatives were not too professional. They didn’t explain the fees appropriately and so I called to ask about it but the last representative was not very nice, she spoked to me like a little 5 year old… that’s not professional.

I like Marriotts and I like Residence Inns in general — for about the same price as a regular hotel stay you get a ton more space and a kitchenette. Plus, RI’s cater to the business traveler with free wifi, free breakfast and convenient locations. This Residence Inn is «good» — on the plus side, my room was very clean, the mattress was decent and the staff was absolutely great. Also, free wifi and lots of accessible outlets for recharging phones. On the minus side — it’s LOUD! Not highway noise, either. You can hear the people next to you. You can definitely hear the people above you. Hallway noise — that too. The air conditioning in the room is loud. My room was above a common area a/c unit which buzzed non stop. There were definitely some basic maintenance issues as well — my bathroom faucet leaked badly. The toilet also appeared to be leaky as well, at least I HOPE the brown stains were rust!

I booked this hotel because it was one of the closest ones to a television audition I had as well as because it had apartment-like amenities(stove, refrigerator, microwave, etc.). My mom and I really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was excellent with a cast-iron waffle maker, real scrambled eggs(not those gross fakey kind), oatmeal, cereal, McD’s-like sausage patties, and delicious breakfast potatoes. There’s a pool that a gaggle of squealing children have been thoroughly enjoying as well as a basketball court. The one-bedroom suite has not one but two huge flat screen TVs with HBO and the wireless internet is free and works flawlessly. To make it all even better, we booked it through and got a $ 20 giftcard! The reason the place gets 4 stars instead of 5 is that they don’t have a business center. They have ONE computer in the lobby with a printer and you have to give your documents to the front staff to get photocopies made. It really wasn’t that much of a hassle, because the employees here have such great attitudes, but it just seems like a huge oversight to me. If I ever found myself in Plano, Texas again, I would stay here! Highly recommended.
