Ya know what I will say this me and a Buddy go there a lot, and I give Chris and Peter lots of props. With 10 other people in the shop Peter took the time to Save My ASS And $ 75 the last hour before I left for a Trail Run. they could have sold me a new $ 75 ecs, peter was like I can reprogram that, unlike the toy store across the street that always tried to sell me stuff I didn’t want or Need! so when some ASSHAT says«They are quick to up sell but slow to respond with half-hearted, lethargic customer service.» he’s just some Spoiled Hater that uses Unilocal as weapon. Chris is a good guy even if he is short and ugly

Hands down the best experience I’ve had at any hobby shop in the country. I had an unfortunate run-in with the TSA at the airport when flying into Dallas(from California) where the TSA agent literally ripped the GoPro camera off the Phantom 2 gimbal. The connector was ripped out and the«C» clamp holding the GoPro to the base plate was cut. I called about 5 different hobby shops in the area and got various responses as to why nobody could help me. Then I called RC Zone and talked to Chris who looked up the parts and told me that those were all special order and he doesn’t have them, but he invited me to come down anyway to «see how he could help me». I took an Über over and walked in with my case in tow. Chris greeted me and he took a look at the gimbal. Right away he assured me that the gimbal was probably fine and put it back together. He was able to use some adhesive to reconnect the«C» clamp and long story short, Chris and RC Zone saved the aerial shoot for this Monday! While I was there, I had an opportunity to talk so the other staff member and I can tell you that these guys not only know what they’re doing, but their professional, friendly and fast. I’m so impressed with this shop and highly recommend them for your hobby needs. Oh and when I asked how much I owed, Chris said it’s on the house. These guys truly love what they do and it shows.

This place is a joke. When you buy an expensive RC you’re also buying the expertise of the hobby shop where you make the purchase. I bought $ 1k worth of quad and camera(go pro) equipment. The service here is hands down the absolute worst I’ve encountered. They are quick to up sell but slow to respond with half-hearted, lethargic customer service. The manager, Chris, seems to feel he’s doing you a favor by answering your question if he has more than 2 people in the shop. Don’t believe this review? All you need to do is call the shop with a question such as «do you stock [part X] to hear how exasperated he seems when he answers the phone. I’m going to try RC Works in McKinney and strongly advise that you find an alternative as well.
