I drove from KC to Texas to buy a car… Long story. But when all was said and done when we left the dealer it was 11pm. I was exhausted. I got on my app and tried to find a cheap non gross place to crash. My husband and i landed here. With tax a room with a king size bed was 64 dollars. Fairly reasonable. The outside scared me a little. Not scared like i was gonna get mugged, more like it might be gross. The inside was surprisingly warm and friendly. Well decorated and large! The outer hallways around the rooms are in disrepair. But its under new management, things take time. Our room was large and clean. The bed was comfortable, big win. At this point it was about 1am. Now here was my ONLY real issue… The guy at the counter. I get that I booked my room literally 20 minutes before. I do. But i paid in advance. The guy couldnt find it. Ok. No biggie. But then he tells me i need to call and get his payment confirmation. I had my reservation confirmation already. I was exhausted, my phone had 3% battery and i had spent all day in a tiny car. I was a little spent. This irritated me. And then once i got on the phone he didnt even know which prompts for me to use. How the hell am i supposed to know? Anyway… Sorted it all in the end. I probably would go back, might try checking in at normal hours. So overall… Not horrible… Comfy bed… Hot shower… Sub par service.
