I have been coming to Jose Eber in Plano since 2004. Alban is the only person that I have let cut my hair since my first visit. He is meticulous and every cut I have ever had over the past 12 years has been great, I have never left disappointed! As far as highlights go, nobody does them as well as LoAnn! The color is bright, my hair is shiny after highlights (no bleach to damage hair!) and I get SO MANY compliments on my hair, both the cut and highlights! Price is what you would expect to pay at a high end salon with fantastic stylists and services. Highly recommend, ask for Alban for cut and LoAnn for color/​highlights!

I just love, love my hair cut. I’ve been going to stylist Derek for 5 years now and he consistently gives me an awesome hair cut. He is a perfectionist and I am so happy I found him. I have received so many complements. The first one started in the lobby at Jose Eber’s and continued with my husband and friends. Just saying — «Jose! You should be very proud of your stylist Derek»

This is in reference to the kiosk in the Northeast Mall selling Jose Eber products: what a rip off. For one I am rudely interrupted and flagged down in the middle of my phone conversation, where no thank you wouldn’t be taken for an answer. The hair straightener was 200 dollars, when I could get it on eBay for 40 $. The gentleman was nice, but that doesn’t change the fact that he ripped me off. I will make sure to spread the word to everyone I know about this kiosk. What a rip off. Especially when I’m guilted into buying a product I didn’t even want.

This Salon is the best find in West Plano!
I have difficult hair and no one in the DFW area has been able to give me a good cut.
Alban at Jose Eber is the stylist I recommend. He is tres Francais and knows how to cut hair!
He is professional, very talented and can make magic with any type of hair.
His style cuts are precise and last approximately 3 months.
The price tag is fairly high, but well worth every cent.

I’m a natural blonde so getting highlights can be tricky. Kay does a superb job and I’m never «orange». Derek consistently gives me a great cut-​modern and flawless. I always get a lot of compliments on my hair.

I came to Jose Eber thinking I was getting a nationally known and renowned salon that would take pride in their work because the brand is ony as strong as the quality of service. I did a consultation for extensions and could not have been more misled. Lo Ann was the stylist and she completely misrepresented the maintenance and cost that is required for their extensions. I tried going back to correct the miscommunication and find resolution and was met with defensiveness and almost hostility from Lo Ann and no manager involvement. When I called and demanded a manager I got the lead stylist who was arrogant, rude and told me nothing I said happened really did — in essence calling me a liar. He then contradicted himself by stating Lo Ann doesn’t do consultations by herself because she can be difficult to understand. My consultation and corrective appt were all with Lo Ann unsupervised… A $ 1K investment was down the drain in only 10 weeks which is ridic! So onto a new stylist and salon that takes pride in customer service, full disclosure and not calling their customers liars. My advice — unless the salon is willing to guarantee what they tell you by putting it in writing run for the door!

Myself, my mother, and her mother have been going here for a few years now, and we really don’t like to go elsewhere. Contrary to other reviews, I have never had a problem with the color I have received there, but I don’t color every single time. I always give very specific instructions of what I would like, and I get the same thing when I do color — highlights and overall color both (overall for me, highlights for my mom and her mom).
Any issues I’ve had, I’ve spoken up about before it was too late, and voiced if I was concerned about a new look, etc beforehand. They don’t get insulted — they would rather have you upset before its too late than after.

I recently saw a review for Jose Eber Salon and was reminded of my horrible experience. I am a bit newer to Unilocal,that is my reason for not writing the review earlier, as I was not aware of Unilocal when I left that salon for the last time.
I had been going for haircuts for less than a year, always getting the same style, and it typically turned out very nicely. However, when I asked for a bit of a change, showed her a pic and additionally wanted my hair colored… my hair world turned upside down.
The colorist somehow gave me BLACK hair, which I clearly did not want. She blamed it on my hair, then offered to give me highlights to supposedly soften the stark Elvira look she mistakenly gave me. Then the stylist cut my hair way too short, which cut out all my curl. She also blamed it on me, saying the pic I showed her was shorter hair. Yes, the pic was shorter hair, but definitely NOT THAT SHORT.
I was in tears for days, hated to look at myself, and finally complained to the big wig himself… Jose Eber. I went to see him when he was in town a bit later. He informed me that I should apologize to my stylist and colorist because my hair looked fabulous (in his heavy accent). Seriously? I should have asked him if I could borrow the hat he was wearing to cover up his salon’s botched hairstyle and color. I paid about $ 250 for exactly what I didn’t want. Never returned. To this day, when I see the name Jose Eber a bad feeling comes over me.

Went for full highlights after a referral. Stylist was distracted with at least one other client the entire 2 hours I was there, and even stopped for a lunch break. She should stop for lunch, but not while she has clients in the chair. Their front desk should manage the schedule better.
When all was said and done, I have extremely uneven highlights (while I’m not a stylist, she seemed to have a very haphazard approach to the application of the color). Some places there are blonde highlights, but in the back it is largely a reddish tint/​undertone. Again, I’m no stylist, but I think that means incorrect processing time under the heat source. Of course, I did not find out about the red tint until I got home and used a hand mirror to see the back of my hair. The $ 160 covered highlights… nothing more. They offered a hair dryer if I wanted to dry my hair, or I could pay additional for them to dry it.
Overall, exceptionally underwhelmed by everything associated with these people. I highly suggest you consider going elsewhere.
