Great Volcano Roll. We had the steak hibachi, The volcano roll, and other sushi. Everything was very good. It was fresh and tasty. Use the coupon and enjoy. Nice atmosphere and great service

So my wife and I went there for my Promotion celebration dinner on Friday night because I read some really good reviews. Let’s just say my experience and the tab didn’t match up with the the hype. Receptionist was kinda casual and didn’t give very professional vibe from get-​go. The guy who took our order sneezed right on his (instead of elbow) and wiped his hands on his behind, already wife was turned off. The chef was really good guy from Burma and was knowledgable guy but outside of that not too many highlights. Fillet was a think piece for $ 32 and scrimp were ‘ehhh’. House can was so so and overall experience followed closed behind. Overall spent $ 114 and experience was probably worth maybe $ 40. Ended up going to Whiskey and that made the night a bit better

I ordered a filet mignon & teriyaki chicken hibachi steak and I can say its the best steak I have ever had in my life.
the hibachi chef put up a nice show with flames and knifes… The food was just perfectly cooked. the meat was fresh, delicious and melted in mouth.
The chicken was so so… but the filet minion really stole the show it was just perfect.
I was with a friend and we wanted to talk and drink more sake so we went at the bar table and ordered spicy plano roll and fried jalapeño with more sake. We stayed there till the place closed.
I would defintely return for the filet minion hibachi. it was real good.

This is by far my favorite sushi and hibachi place! The staff are all very polite and the food is amazing went to the hibachi side for my birthday and our cook was very delightful and engaging in conversation making us all smile. Let’s just say we left with a smile on our face and a full tummy!

Reserved Seats at the Hibachi table tonight.
Service: 4* started slow then picked up. To be fair the table chef was fantastic. Very good routine and engaging with the table and particularly the kids.
Food: 4* I had the Filet and Scallops and my wife had the Steak and Shrimp.
If you are looking to have beef, then spend the extra $ 3-​$ 4 and get the Filet. Much better quality.
Both the scallops and shrimp were good, the scallops were a bit salty.
Beverages: 4* I’ll just say Sake ! Love it!
I’m sure they have other beverages but why… Sake is the only way go.

Great friendly staff. We were on an outing for a birthday party with family, our first choice was benihana, but you have to have a reservation, which they don’t disclose on their website. We found Japon on Unilocal and boy are we glad we did! The food was delicious, the restaurant was clean, and the staff was amazing! Can’t wait until we go back again, an overall wonderful place to go!

Volcano roll is just perfection. Spicy Plano roll is another great choice. Always a wonderful place to have sushi, sashimi, or rolls. Great service and great food. Beautiful décor. Been coming here for 15 years. Tried other well rated places around Dallas but I keep coming home to Japon.

Japon is currently my favorite hibachi restaurant in the area. The food is wonderful, the service is great, and there’s always good times to be had.
Try the fried jalapeño roll, it’s wonderful. It’s not always super spicy but it has a wonderful flavor.
We always do hibachi at Japon and it never disappoints. The filet is tender and flavorful and cooked to perfection. The fried rice is amazing, and a must. Note that you do have to upgrade to fried rice as the entrees come with steamed rice by default. You can pick from several different soups and while the crab soup that comes with is wonderful, I do love the classic Miso which most of the table ordered the last time I was there.
The chef will accommodate changes so if you can’t tolerate onions in your vegetables, just let him know.
Our servers have always been wonderfully attentive and no drink ever sits half empty for long.

This spot reminds me of Benihana, it’s a chain out in California that does the same thing as this spot. We took our girls out there and they had a great time with the cooking show and all. I think overall, the food was good. I had the steak, wife and the kids had chicken.
The veggies were grilled perfectly, crisp and hot. The fried rice could have been cooked longer as there were pieces that were still hard but I didn’t make a huge deal since the overall experience and food was good.

Japon is a long time favorite. We have eaten there 10+ times and often get takeout, which is surprisingly fresh, tasty and high quality given that their primary model is an in-​person cooking experience.
Most recent takeout was steak and shrimp, both hot and juicy, with fried rice and vegies. We usually substitute miso soup for their standard broth soup with thread of krab.
Highly recommended for a very high quality hibachi experience and takeout is surprisingly great too.

No wait and fast service. The food didn’t have much flavor to it. I personally think the food is over priced and have had better hibachi. The place looked very clean and I really enjoyed the no wait but won’t be going back as the food is over priced and doesn’t live up to it.

Japon Restaurant was simply amazing. We were actually apprehensive to visit a Hibachi-​style restaurant. With autism in the family, it can be difficult to go to really crowded restaurants — even more so when you will be seated with strangers at the hibachi grill. However, I had expressed my concerns to the owner, Tracy, and she took care of us. We were tucked into a quiet little corner of the restaurant and sat with a nice family. Although they were strangers, it was nice to not be with a wild party of people. We did have the option to purchase a private room. However, we put our faith in Tracy that we’d be in good hands, and we were not disappointed. Our table and the room were very clean.
Our chef came and put on such a fun show. He was very personable and involved us in his cooking process. We did not order any sushi, however the family with whom we sat did. They spoke highly of it. The meals we had were so delicious and very good quality! We had the salmon, a veggie plate, chicken, shrimp, and steak between us. The quality and flavor were wonderful! We will definitely go back to Japon, and we’d recommend it to anyone.

The kiderinos always have a great time at hibachi and tonight was no exception. We went early because we had no reservation and were seated promptly with two other groups which, admittedly always contributes to ones good time if the chemistry is right (which in tonight’s case it was). Our server forgot my sake and another couple’s salad but brought them quickly with a smile when brought to her attention. My steak was cooked very well and was surprisingly tender. The fried rice was bland and I was expecting more considering it was an up charge.
Overall, It was not the best hibachi we’ve had but overall it was a good experience. Lots of groups and celebrations going on too.
