In The Mix Bakery

This was not good. Just from looking at the display case (even from a distance) it’s easy to tell that everything is stale. There’s no love put into these desserts, and that barbie display cake they have out… ouch! If that’s any indication as to what I’ll receive if I order a custom cake, no thank you! Everything was dry and lacked flavor.
First off, this place is in a mall — and in the food court no less — which equals a good amount of foot traffic. If they took even a small amount of time to put some effort into their desserts they would be banking. All the people that are constantly at the mall? They are really missing out a great opportunity here. Shame.
And I would start with having the front counter employee take those headphones out of their ears like they’re relaxing at home. Geez!

Horrible horrible customer service!!! The lady behind the counter rolled her eyes at me and would not listen… what company finds it acceptable to roll their eyes at customers!!! Obviously companies that don’t care about customer service! On top of her rude disposition, her response to my questions were that I would need to come back when the manager is there… Why should I come back!!! What is the point of her being there then?!? I Will never go back and will make sure to tell all my friends!

I called on Saturday to check their business hours before visiting. I was immediately asked if I had a groupon. I guess that makes a difference for some reason. No, I just wanted to take my girl to a different cupcake place in the area. We drive to the mall, parked, went inside, found them in the food court, and became disappointed.
It appeared as though the rough looking lady in need of dental work was somewhat bothered by our visit. She appeared to be on the phone with one of her earphones in. The display case was dirty inside and so we decided to pass.
They could turn their business around in 24 hrs if they would clean up the display area and staff the location with minimally attractive well groomed staff that had been trained in customer service.

I ordered two dozen cupcakes for a party. I really tried to find a flavor among them to love, but unfortunately they were all pretty stale. They looked nice but didn’t taste great. I was disappointed.

My sister ordered two dozen cupcakes for my baby shower and everybody loved them. We had a dozen of the red velvet & a dozen of the banana chocolate chip.
I returned a few days later and ordered one of each and a few of the other flavors they had. The older lady at the counter seemed very annoyed I was there. She was on her phone with earphones in her ears as I approached the counter and took one out to help me and my daughter. We were very cordial and thought, «service may suck, but at least we’ll get good cupcakes». Not what happened at all! Everything was stale and not as good as we remembered.
The lady sitting there never smiled or thanked us for coming. I asked for a cup of coffee and she looked over her shoulder and just said she didn’t have any made. It was very awkward. No offer was extended to brew a fresh pot. We ate in the food court and ordered drinks from the establishment next door.
I was going to rate this place with one star, but thought they deserved the second because the cupcakes were good at the shower. The bad service is just unforgivable.

Well I love the fact that this is in the mall. It’s a nice little addition to the snacking section in the food court.
The cupcakes… well the icing makes these cupcakes for sure. The texture is thick enough and sweet enough for my taste buds. They are topped in a very cute manner. The texture of the cake isn’t bad. The overall flavor isn’t super powerful on any of the varieties, but it’s a nice basic cupcake. For birthday parties, I would recommend this place for sure, but if you are jonesing for a particular flavor might not be the best stop.
The cupcakes are fair price and the service is prompt.
