Went with a couple of friends and food was great, only thing they were out of horchata, which is my only favorite drink when I go to a mexican restaurant! other than that, good atmosphere, waiters are always nice and attentive, we will definitely come back!

Came in on a late Wednesday afternoon to an empty, clean, welcoming restaurant. I ordered a couple of different tacos to-go, plus a pupusa, and a small guacamole(2oz). Service was friendly enough… fast(made-to-order). Tacos are small in size, but still packed pretty full with meat protein. Overall, it’s A-Okay. Chicharron: favorite, crispy, and tasty. Chorizo: 2nd favorite, not spicy, still tasty. Pastor: 3rd favorite, not bland but not flavorful, slight sweetness. Lengua/Tripe: a tad too chewy; least favorite. Pupusa: A-Ok but probably not worth the $ 2 price tag. A smidge of meat and cheese. Guacamole: add salt and we are in business. Tab came to about $ 21 for 10 small tacos, a pupusa, and guacamole. High five, ya’ll.

Just left this place if I could give it a worse rating I would… Food was bad, store bought tortillas that smelled bad, and the grill where the food was being cooked was full of old crusty nasty food had I seen that before, I would’ve just walked out.

My husband and I are glad this place is near our house. We always eat in, although it seems like many people do take out. They have a selection of bottled mexican sodas and some big tanks of mexican cool ade. Spanish is the primary language here and they play spanish TV. The atmosphere is bright and nice kind of like froyo places. I’ve gotten the potato tacos with goat cheese and that is very good. The bottled green hot sauce is great. There are chips and hot sauce but not frequent refills of that. I gave it 4 instead of 5 because they always seem confused when we walk in. Yes, we want to eat here and need menus and drinks! Yes, bring the chips. An similar, nearby alternative to this is Taqueria Los Angeles.

Ive ordered the gorditas and tacos dorados and today I bought the«huarache» with fajita meat and it was amazing!!! The green avacado salsa is super spicy but really good. For less that $ 7 it is worth the drive.

Came in today to do 2 things, eat a al pastor burrito, which was tasty and a full meal deal all rolled into, and test Samsung Pay, which I am proud to say works like a charm, the waitress said is that the Apple pay? I was like Uh Wha? Nope Samsung pay no NFC needed, like the fruit phone lol.

The fiancé and I have committed to an ongoing mission to find the best Mexican street tacos in the DFW area. See my other reviews for some of the lucky contestants. The hubby-to-be, a native of Mexico City, was born and raised on these little delicacies and the love for authentic street tacos seems contagious because now I can’t get enough. We ventured to Plano’s el barrio and found this place. The neighborhood and digs may seem a little dingy but you’ll think you’re in heaven once you bite into these tacos. I had the al pastor, he chose the bistec(and also ordered some al pastor). They were everything we hoped they would be. Meat was moist and tender, seasoned just right and servers were sweet. Fresh tortillas and the salsa choices were great. I even loved the refried beans. We have bookmarked this as one of our new favorites. We may never narrow it down to just one but this will be a front runner for sure! Can’t wait to go back!

Love me some good olé fashioned, made to order, authentic style Mexican tacos. Their pastor tacos come with pieces of pineapple, which gives it a slightly sweet flavor to the meat. Supposedly, from what I’ve heard of, it’s the original way of the pastor taco, by adding the pineapple in there. But not sure if entirely true or not… tastes good anyways. The best is the crispy tripe taco. They fry the tripe so it becomes so crunchy and chewy, it’s like such a good combination for a taco! Never had that anywhere else! But they do it good here! Whenever I’m in mood for tacos, or people ask me where to go for tacos. I’ll say El Tacontendo! :)

Not what it used to be. Past 3 times I’ve been here, the tacos are smaller, the order has been messed up… even my guys aren’t big on the place anymore(they’re straight from Mexico). I knew when this place changed ownership for the 3rd time, it would never be the same. Trust me, I’ve checked in here 58 times. Food taste alright but… things have gone down hill. Plus for some reason, the whole place smells like vomit today.

I have only had the Al pastor tacos here. They are so good I have not tried anything else. The hibiscus tea is excellent you must try it. There are no free refills so if you order another one you will pay again. Very good place to eat.

Muy Contento de tacos on the East Side. Go ahead and smother that meaty chorizo gordita and tacos al pastor with plenty of their spicy avocado salsa and experience belly bliss. The horchata is smooth and sweet, great for washing down their spicy salsas. The best though is the overall selection, they have pupusas, gorditas, sopes, huaraches, tortas, quesadillas, tacos dorados, burritos, and of course soft tacos. This is not your run of the mill Texas Taqueria, the family has LA roots and it shows in the variety and flavors. Then came the very best sign for me, at the end of the night they cleaned that kitchen like it was day one at boot camp.

We decided to come here for our taco fix since driving all the way down to East Dallas is not an option at this time. Only 3 stars because I wasn’t impressed at all. Atmosphere and décor is nice, can’t really complain. The service is good and our waitress is very patient with our questions, the food is ok, not that great. Would only comeback of I am in the area.

After reading the reviews this was a special MISSION. Could it be as awesome as other Unilocalers said? It EXCEEDED my expectation. I could have opted for just three taco’s but decided a plate would add the bean(there is no S in beans) and rice. Everything was cooked to order and with the open kitchen you could smell the aroma of grilling meat and toasted corn tortillas. I even opted for a Mexican Tamarind soda pop to push things over the limit. The service was exceptionally sweet and authentic and it was sparkling clean inside and out. The deserts were MASSIVE but there was just no more room left. The only reason for not having five stars was that the AC seemed to be under repair. It was NOT hot but it needed to be cooler given the spicy handmade sauces. This place is a GEM!

This place is pretty good. I was happy while eating my beef tongue tacos and al pastor tacos. I wish the tongue was shredded as opposed to cubed. The beans and rice were good. The green sauces and red sauce INTHEBOTTLES were great! Didn’t care much for their salsa. I just used the squeeze bottles on my corn tortilla chips which were great as well. Do not like paper thin chips. I will definitly be back.

Stopped in for late lunch, I was the only gringo in the place, looks promising for authenticity. Ordered one corn taco of each: pollo, pastor, barbacoa. Chips and salsa served, chips were warm, salsa had just a touch of a kick. Place is very clean, furnishings are well kept, mexican radio on and novellas on the big screen, bathrooms clean and much nicer than you often find in a taco place. It took awhile for three tacos to be made, not quite sure why, looked like to me I was the only order for the kitchen. But…when the tacos arrived, hot, expertly topped with chopped onion and cilantro, all was forgiven. If I had doubled or tripled my order, I still would have quickly scarfed them down. Honestly, all three versions were excellent. I added the green sauce to both the pollo and pastor, they were great, the sauce complimented the overall taste, the barbacoa easily stood on its on with no sauce. Bottom line, if you like freshly made $ 1.25 tacos, you should make this place your«go to» stop in Plano, know I will.
