Corner Wines

I recently had the experience of walking into this great wine store. It’s more than just a wine shop, it’s my new monthly stop complete with wine tastings and some new friends! Jim, the owner, is extremely helpful, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. This is my new place for all wine purchases. Jim hit it spot on with the wines I like, and I have also special ordered a few bottles without hesitation. Corner Wines has a wonderful selection of wine, and I never walk out empty handed. That is the true test! I highly recommend this to be your first stop for wine, even if you are in a hurry– Jim will see to it that you have chosen the perfect wine for any occasion.

I’m a huge fan of Corner Wines. The owners are very knowledgeable about wine, which means they can help you if you don’t know what you want or what wines might fit the profile of other things you like.
I’ve found that they offer wines at a wide variety of price points. That’s helpful. Often people are afraid of visiting small wine shops because they think everything will be priced beyond their means. You can find a very nice table wine here, at a reasonable (think $ 12-​$ 15). Or you can find a very exclusive bottle of wine at a not-​so-​reasonable price. The point is, go in and talk to the staff. Tell them your price constraints and they’ll help you find a great bottle (because all of the bottles they have are great).
They also offer a monthly wine club. We haven’t quite figured out how to get on the mailing list to notifiy us that wines are in, but we do know to go in around the 2^nd week of the month and pick up our two bottles.
Corner Wines also carries a small supply of carefully selected spirits. They don’t carry everything, and certainly not the low-​brow stuff, but it’s a good place to pick up that bottle of something for an after dinner drink to go with your bottle of wine.
I believe in locally owned businesses and Corner Wines is an excellent example of that: Owners who care about their products, know their customers and work hard to make sure you’re satisfied with every purchase.

The owner is knowledgeable and heilful. Many choices which he helps you through. We code a Zin reommended that was delicious. We’re going back right now.

This is the best wine store anywhere in Dallas. The owners are so nice and helpful. Their selection is fantastic, and they have great tastings and events.

Corner Wines carries a great selection of wines, offer wine education classes, coordinates wine dinners and trips. The owners are very knowledgable and passionate about wines and will guide you in making a nice choice. I have been shopping here for several years and have met some great people at the classes and wine tasting events.

As we were driving back from a refreshing bite at YogurTea, we decided to go on a little adventure into the unknown territories of Plano. There are so many shopping centers to stop at, you will never know what you’re missing until you just drive yourself into the lot and look around. Low and behold, we found so many great places but only had time to look at one.
We decided to check out Corner Wines because peeking through the windows it looked like a cool place. We stepped right in and was greeted by a guy who seemed very friendly and nice. We were looking around and came upon a few questions and he was more than happy to answer our questions. We also asked about the wine tasting schedule becuase we noticed a decently sized room with a couple of tables and a small bar/​kitchen area. He let us know that if we put ourselves on the mailing list, we’d be notified of upcoming tastings and other special promos/​events. This is definitely a cute wine shop with a lot of variety and it also has extra stuff to spice up the place ~ special cooking sauces, wine stoppers, etc.. .It’s definitely a place to stop at and check out if you’re in the neighborhood!

Hands down the best wine store in Dallas. Family owned, friendly employees and one-​on-​one help. They have a great selection of affordable wines. I would recommend this place to everyone!
