I’ve been going to this sweet old lady for years, and she’s made alterations just the way I’ve wanted them for years. The ideal reason to go to her is for a next day ready hem on pants, but I’ve gotten jackets taken in, pants taken in, all sorts of stuff. She’s good. And really nice.

This tailor ruined a pair of $ 125 jeans. I took them in to be hemmed and guided her on the length while she pinned them. When I picked them up and put them on, they were about 1.5 inches shorter than what I asked for. You could see my ankles — total highwaters. She also cut off every bit of excess, so there was no way to let them back out. What a huge waste of money.
