I had the Mangonada. It’s pretty good. Service is friendly. Check it out.

I’ve heard a lot of hype about this place so I decided to stop in one day while in the area. So many choices! I opted for my usual, jasmine milk tea with pearls and lychee jelly. It was a miss for me. The tea was watery the lychee jelly had no flavor. I probably should have gotten something from their dessert drink menu, those options looked much better. I’ll definitely stop in again to try something else, but based on my first visit, it was just a-ok. As far as the location goes, it’s on the corner of 75& Spring, in the same parking lot as Ranch 99. The place is small but cute. Most people do take their drinks to go so if you sit in, you’ll probably have the place to yourself.

This is one of my ultimate favorite dessert shops of all time. In general, Bambu has HUGE selection of drinks and desserts, from milk teas, fruit teas, coffee to smoothies and traditional Vietnamese desserts(named«che»). However, I have tried multiple times in both Bambu Plano and Bambu Garland, and I have to say this one so far has provided much better drinks and service. Here are the reasons: — The ingredients are fresher: I tested it by ordering avocado smash(#5) from both shops. The drink from Bambu Plano had a nice and smooth color, smashed evenly, while the one from Bambu Garland could be obviously recognized several black spots and chunky pieces of avocado, showing that their fruit wasnt fresh enough when they made the drink. One point for Bambu Plano. — Secondly, people in Bambu Plano are so nice and friendly, even the boss. Girls are super gentle and full of kindness while guys like to have small, friendly chat with me and making jokes around. I couldnt see that when I was ordering drinks from Bambu Garland. They was just quite, asking for what drink I want, then they left. Another plus for Bambu Plano. — Finally, Bambu in Plano is a small but private shop where I can sit down, chilling with my friends or family and enjoying the music for a while without having a bunch of people walking around and talking noisily. I feel it is a better place to spend time and relaxing. One more point for Bambu Plano. So, the Bambu Plano won!!! I understand different people have different experiences with the shop. However I have to say that I dont really agree with all of comments below. Indeed, Bambu is a franchise corporate, so every drink has its own recipe and fixed by the company. It cant satisfy everyone but the majority. The recipe will decide everything, even the amount of ice or suger for the drink. And every Bambu shop is supposed to follow it strictly. In fact, I know there are some people like to make it in their own ways. However, unless you order hot drinks, cold drinks are supposed to have ice in it and it should be made a bit sweeter so the ice can balance it out later on. It’s the common sense. So that, if you want any cold drink without ice, you should ask for«less sweet» at the first place, because since the drink is done, it’s pretty hard to adjust. And even after you adjust it, it wouldnt be as good as it should. In the situation below, I can see that the employee was super nice when he asked for adjusting the drink to less sweet until the customer liked it. But after that, if she still said it was too sweet, I would recommend that she should try a coffee shot or plain black coffee other than a hazelnut mocha coffee. So, cheers ^^~

I have to remove a star due to my recent experience(product delivery) with this location. I’m starting to see deterioration to this business(similar to Garland’s) due to new management/ownership(?? keep seeing new faces at both locations). I really dislike it when small Asian businesses compromise quality and delivery of goods to cut costs. The past few times I’ve ordered my milk tea without ice, they do not fill it up to the top. They used to(seriously, it’s pennies to top it off). I usually order pandan jelly in my tea and with the first owners, it was always consistent. Lately, the pandan jelly changes in texture and sweetness level. Due to its inconsistency, I stopped ordering it. Although the milk tea is inconsistent as well, it’s still one of my preferred milk teas in the area so I continue to order it. When we order the coconut juice with no ice, they used to charge 50 cents to top it off. Now it’s $ 1. I think it’s time to go buy coconut water and top it off ourselves. :(

No matter what time of day you come here, this place is absolutely packed with people and so it is not an entirely pleasant atmosphere given the incredibly tiny seating area. Somehow the kitchen manages to take up half the store… because crushing ice and mixing in fruit juice is hard apparently. There must be a whopping four tables available, and only about two power outlets. The majority of the clientele seems to be Vietnamese. But there are reasons for everything and the drinks here are fairly unique, consistent and tasty. Many feature ingredients like coconut milk, basil and various jellies. But this is more of a get in and get out sort of place and not well suited for any sort of extended work due to the noise and cramped space. Sadly Starbucks is still one of the few places to go if you want to get any work done. 4⁄5 but mostly for the drink. Atmosphere is a 2⁄5 at best.

i was just here with my boyfriend and we could not be more displeased with our experience. while we were both excited to see that they have an extensive menu of bubble tea, coffee, and smoothies, the general taste seems to be… sweet. disgustingly sweet. they also seem to be stingy with product, and while the place has a nice atmosphere, the service is… aggressive. i tried the almond milk tea with coffee jelly while my boyfriend had the hazelnut mocha latte, both with no ice. as a result, they handed us drinks ~80% full(the cashier basically admitted that you need ice to make it seem like you’re getting more product). when my boyfriend requested for them to make his latte less sweet, they quickly informed him that the drink is pre-made, so it cannot be altered. we decided to take it and leave it at that. my drink was fine, but my boyfriend’s was disgustingly sweet. we didn’t want to make a fuss, but the drink was inedible so we asked if they could either tone it down or let us get another drink of equal value. the guy said he would add more milk to it, asked my boyfriend to taste if it was okay, and adjusted to his liking(which was still too sweet, but whatever). shortly after we left, i noticed he was having a mild allergic reaction/had hives on his forehead, most likely from the drink. when i called bambu asking how they made their hazelnut mocha/what was in it, the manager said they just brew french coffee/hazelnut roast, add hershey’s chocolate syrup, and milk, to which my boyfriend wondered why it’s so hard for them to adjust. needless to say, the manager didn’t seem to care about the situation or offer any more information. overall, the drinks here seem appealing, but for whatever reason they’re so so sweet. i’ve encountered very few bubble tea/coffee shops that don’t allow you to adjust ice/sugar, so i’m not sure why bambu seems reluctant about these things or if the general population just prefers really sugary drinks. either way, i will not be returning.

I tried going to the location in the Saigon Mall, but they always look like they’re closed. This location is better cause of their interior. I heard of this place because of the che selection. I didn’t really like all the choices except the Che Ba Mau. However I didn’t like it. The pandan jelly is different from what I’ve been eating, but everything else is good. Needless to say, I didn’t get that choice again. I’ve been picking the slushes only. I forgot the names of the slushes, but I think it’s berry slush and mango slush, Both of them were good, and they were generous with the portions.

Had a simple jasmine tea with jelly. It was a tad too strong so I asked them if they could add milk and they did. They asked if it was too strong and it was and they gave me an entirely new drink that wasn’t as strong in the tea taste. That was nice of them. My husband tried number 7. I’m not really a fan of Vietnamese desserts but this one wasn’t bad. I’ll try and get something else next time!

Ambiance: the venue is a little small so it’s kinda tricky to do any work here because it’s not really designed for people to hover here. It’s clean and«cute» so I can appreciate it. Service: they have always been polite and helpful if I have any questions so they are on point in my book. Drinks: I personally really like this Bambu, I’ve been to the one in Grand Prairie and the flavor just tastes much fresher and better. Not many places that I am aware of currently that offer this kind of drink along 75 so I really like this place. All in all, would definitely recommend and will certainly be coming back again in the near future.

Have you ever seen the movie ‘Kids’? Remember when Casper said«MMMMM it’s like buttascotch yo!» Well this place is… mmmmmm like Butterscotch yo! The Boba was just ripe! 《 — — - How silly does that sound? I’m talking about melt in your mouth Boba, and not the kind where you chew for days while sipping on milk tea. The Coconut milk tea is superb. The gentleman that runs the counter is very friendly and patient, so no worries about taking your time to order. Good job Unilocalers! These reviews were spot on!

I came here on a Monday at around noon and the place was empty, perfect for choosing a cozy spot. When I walked in, the place had a lot of cute pieces of furniture. About 15 people can find seats easily. I ordered a peach tea with jelly. The store states that it is made of real fruit juice and it tastes pretty accurate. So as far as I know, I believe that they use real fruits for their teas. I would definitely come back to try more drinks since they have such a wide variety of drinks. I recommend this place for hanging out and talking to friends. There are no TVs and WiFi is nonexistant. Also, I don’t recommend bringing your laptop to do homework/work because they have no plugs along the wall for customers to use.

The first few times I’ve been here I got their che(Vietnamese dessert). As a Vietnamese person, I did not really like their che at all… plus it was overpriced. Too much ice, and it didn’t taste that great. You can get better che in Richardson if you’re willing to drive. This time, I tried their mango smoothie with boba. It was really good! Not too sweet, and the mango flavor was spot on. Boba was good and chewy too. My cousin had the avocado smoothie, and he said it was good. I still feel like it’s pricey though.

Loved this place! Super clean and modern up — scale décor. Kind of unexpected honestly! Pleasantly surprised. I got the bambu special and my sister got the strawberry milk tea. We both loved our drinks! Thank you.

The spring creek location has gotten better(our drinks hasn’t came out with old jelly/beans and bland) and so it’s our new spot for che –although I personally would not order the ones with coconut milk(just tasted like water). Service has gotten better too. The Bambu location in Saigon Mall has really deteriorated. My drinks have came out so bland and watered down numerous times. Horrible! I don’t order there anymore.

Nicer location than the Saigon mall one! The place totally gives off a vietnamese vibe with the décor. Really friendly staff! It’s always the same guy taking my order and he’s always been so nice. He offered me a stamp card my second visit and I commented about the punch hole shape. I thought it was a chicken but he corrected me saying that it was a squirrel. Haha, my group had a good laugh at that. Each time I go here, I try to mix it up but mostly I’ve been getting the smoothies. Delicious! Fantastic boba! Great texture and completely sweet! I have gotten the lime berry twice and the mango madness. Plus the strawberry tea and the 3 colors che dessert. Definitely recommend this place! Also they always have something playing on their TV. Last time it was some dodgeball movie from the early 20’s. I find it kinda nice how the staff allowed us to stay til the end to finish the movie. They were waiting for us to leave before closing up, but I guess they were kinda watching it along with us, haha!

Mmmmm, boba! First of all, I’d like to say I’m super picky with my boba. I usually only order the mango smoothie with tapioca pearls and they either taste 1) Like bubblegum 2) super artificial mango 3) PERFECT Anywho, I’ve been very faithful to this place called Yogurtea because they have the best boba ever. However, after eating phở and stopping by Ranch 99, I saw Bambu. I’ve been looking on Unilocal for boba places and I always see Bambu but I never knew where it was. Now I do! So with the great reviews, we stop in and instantly I feel welcomed. Very clean and modern décor and a nice big menu with pictures on the walls. Their selection is HUGE and I love how they have a lot of different types of Vietnamese desserts. The guy offers us a punch card and punches 4 holes. Woah! The other places I go to who have punch cards only punch once per order, not per drink! A+ for that. The drinks actually came out really fast compared to other places(ordered 2 mango smoothies, a taro smoothie, and Thai tea) First sip of their mango smoothie and I am IMPRESSED! They are spot on and it does not taste repulsive. And they don’t charge for their boba! I definitely will come back soon.

Thank you, Texas for having a big Vietnamese community! Because where there are big Vietnamese communities, there are usually a great selection of Vietnamese restaurants and shops. I’m originally from the Bay Area so there’s pretty much a Bambu every other exit and I LOVEIT. Ever since I moved to San Diego, I would long for the days when I came come home and indulge in these desserts! I’ve also gotten my husband obsessed as well. The ingredients they use are always fresh. So when we saw that there were two locations nearby, we knew we had to fit it in. What I love to order: Bambu Special(super refreshing on a hot day) Avocado Smash aka Bo Dam(no boba, extra coffee jelly) Jasmin Milk Tea Vietnamese Ice coffee(this is really strong, so if you’re not an avid coffee drinker, this may not be for you) I got both the Avocado Smash and Bambu Special from this location with ice on the side. They got it down! If we stayed longer, we probably would have came back. I LOVEYOU, BAMBU!!!
