Dodge’s Agway is a fascinating place geared towards farmers, gardeners, backyard bird watchers and pet owners. I can’t speak about the livestock feeds offered, but there’s usually some farmer’s truck backed into the loading dock picking up supplies. They have a variety of pet foods. Decent selection of toys, leashes, etc. Prices are reasonable. Today I was looking for a new hoe to tackle weeds that, of course, are doing better than my perennials after this brutal winter. They didn’t have the stirrup hoe I was wanting, but found something that will do just as well. Saw some lovely pansies and violas and couldn’t resist the uplifting colors. Nearly picked out some herbs from the greenhouse(locally grown in New England) but with a lingering risk of frost, I’ll hold off a bit longer. The checkout counter has been relocated since my last visit awhile back. It’s moved from the right side back wall to more in the center of the store, allowing for more than one customer to be cashed out at a time speeding things up a bit, but the store is crammed full, so still a tight squeeze at busy times. Staff are very knowledgeable and courteous.
