I did not receive the«Best of Long Island» service I was hoping for when I placed a call to Suburban. The sales rep I spoke with told me she’d be sending someone to do a FREE inspection. This was the primary reason I went with them and was glad they’d be able to get to my house the day I called so that we could work on treatment. When the exterminator came, however, there was a different story. He walked in asked me two questions about the situation and DIDNTEVENBOTHERTOLOOK for the pests. He suggested I buy a monitor for $ 200 that would identify if the pest was present(not to mention the monitor wouldn’t even identify different types of pests). $ 200 for a monitor to identify the pest is a whole lot different then the free quote the sales rep promoted. Long story short, I called another exterminator and he was able to find the problem with his bare hands. I called Suburban customer service to inform them of the situation and to let them know that they did not do a good job setting expectations for the«free quote». I spoke with some nasty old woman on the phone who argued against everything I said so I didn’t bother to continue voicing my concerns long. Just goes to show that suburban is a RIPOFF with terrible service.
