Massage Envy Spa

I had an issue that at first was not handled by their team. However, after a little communication, they took care of the situation. It’s nice to know that they were willing to step up and do right by their customer. Their follow up was very much appreciated.

I’m traveling, and visiting family in the Plainfield area for a while. I’ve never used a Massage Envy (mainly because an LMT friend of mine has shared strong opinions about the chain with me), but thought it would be a quick and easy way to get some relief from the traveling aches.
I went to their web site, and used their online booking feature. When the form was completed with preferences and multiple time suggestions, I submitted without issue. I received an email confirming the request, and stating: «This request has been received and a representative will contact you shortly to schedule your appointment.»
So I waited for a contact via email or phone (both of which were asked for, and I provided).
No contact. None. Nada. Zip.
Thus ends my interest in Massage Envy!

This was the worst facial I have ever received in my life. She shorted me twenty minutes. She didn’t do any extractions, she didn’t give a head, foot or hand massage, which most facials include. She had long fingernails and cut my face. She clearly had no idea what she was doing, and essentially did a toner and then rubbed oil on my face for twenty minutes. It was very odd. Then she spent 20 minutes trying to sell me products.

Kris is awesome! In the past other massage therapist have left me sore. Kris does amazing work that knows her stuff. I am never sore after a massage. She takes the time to listen to your concerns and knows how to work that is right for you.

horrible service. when i called to book my massage, they didn’t take a credit card to reserve the time for me. i was all set to head to the appointment the next day and got a call before left. the incredibly unhelpful, bordering on rude, woman i spoke with informed me that a) i hadn’t left a credit card on file so they couldn’t see me (um, not my fault?) and b) i should have been there 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork. point b didn’t even matter because they cancelled my appointment anyway! and the screwup was on their end!
needless to say, i didn’t bother rescheduling. ridiculous. get it together.

I get a massage monthly and that makes the cost cheaper which is nice. I’m quite sore and in need of massages and my massage therapist helps with relaxation and to not be so tense. I set up my next appointments after the massage every time. I can call and change them if needed. They are all so friendly there too. And depending on who you get/​ask for you can just lay and relax and listen to relaxing music in a relaxing environment or you can have nice conversation. It’s a clean place and it’s quite professional. I took my fiancé there for a couples massage one time when he was home from the military for a bit. It was nice and they were so friendly then too. They are professional s and know what they are doing they’ve helped work out a few knots, they help my shoulders to not be so tense, and if you ask depending on who you have they can help you to prevent soreness and injury by letting you know why specific muscles are hurting you or are too tense and how to prevent that. It’s in a mall area so you can go after dinner or shopping or whatever. It’s lovely.

Thought I should update this and let you review readers know that my therapist told me they were hireing and now I work here. I made the above entry before then so you all know. If you have any questions about here I’ll be happy and cheerful and very helpful because that’s what I liked as a member. It’s my goal to be kind and polite.
