The company owner, Jim committed to coming out himself for a paid evaluation of my Furnace but never showed up — all day long! I even called the company’s answering services and had him paged but nothing. When he did show the next day, he stuck a very large florescent green irremovable advertising sticker on both my Furnace and Water Heater. The folks on the phone are very nice but this is the last HVAC company I would ever call.

Very, very disappointing. Had used them for years and then something seems to have happened where the owner doesn’t return phone calls, makes commitments and then doesn’t follow through and most concerning got into the middle of a job and basically quit leaving us with no air conditioning. I would not recommend them. Was a good company and now seems to have fallen apart. Too bad for the employees who are pretty good. Mark is a good technician but with no support from the boss can’t be effective. Find someone else.

When I built my house, 9 years ago, I had a complex and expensive radiant floor heat system installed by Kolar. It stopped working last year. I troubleshot the problem myself and identified a water circulation pump that had malfunctioned. The kicker was that the pump had been installed upside down, which was incorrect. Mark from Kolar came and replaced the pump.
I wrote a letter to Jim Kolar, asking for him to stand behind his company’s work from 9 years ago and split the bill with me. I suggested that I pay the labor and he cover the pump. One week later I received a check for the cost of the pump.

Jim Kolar continues to impress me. Always helpful and timely as well as courteous. He did original install in my house and all recurring maintenance. Today he we t way out of his way to fix an issue at my parents house. Great to find a business owner focused on helping his customers. HIGHLY recommend
