Dive Right In Scuba

Disappointed initially however terry redeemed the bad experience I had.

I first heard of Dive Right In from a friend who had purchased some dry gloves from them and was happy with the item and price and service. A bit later I was in the market for some dry suit seals and, after searching around online, I found their prices to be the best. Over the phone, their customer service was great. I had called to just check if the items I was after were in stock because I was planning on stopping in the store to pick them up, and the sales staff checked on that and confirmed their hours (near to Thanksgiving, so I wanted to make sure of their holiday hours). When I stopped in, I again got great service. Their storefront is very nice. Lots of gear, but it’s a good floor plan so you can walk around looking at everything without knocking the displays over. One of the sales staff (Chris Lowe) was kind enough to give me a quick tour of their operation: nice basic classroom, nice storefront, but the best part is the very large back part of the store where they handle the online sales, rental gear, equipment repair and maintenance, tank maintenance, and dry suit repair. Their dry suit tech was kind enough to take some time out to demonstrate and explain the TiZip dry suit zipper to me (I had never seen it before, and was only familiar with the metal-​toothed zipper). So overall it was a great visit. They’re a popular place and I can understand why: great service, experienced sales and repair staff, competitive prices, wide range of product. And they also run a couple of dive boats and organize trips.

What a professional experience both in store and over the phone. When I walked in, I felt comfortable and a place that I would continue to shop. Their prices are spot on and the knowledge is free. They also own a dive boats that take you out on Lake Michigan. What a deal. I shop exclusively here for

Although I live 100’s of miles from DRIS this is my goto neighborhood scuba store. Service is amazing and prices are great. Follow through is phenomenal and I have even started using them to service by regulators.

Finally I found an online scuba shop with best customer service ever.
The deal I’ve got on a bunch of scuba gear was so sweet that I’ll definitely buy there whenever I need anything SCUBA related.

I really love this place. I only wish they would open a store in California so that I could visit. I’ve bought a fair amount of gear from them over the last few years, including computers, lights and regulators. They are my «come to» store for tech gear, since there really isn’t a local store for me that stocks that kind of gear. They have an excellent selection of first-​rate gear at reasonable prices.
Since I end up buying on the Internet, I appreciate that they have highly responsive staff that quickly completes orders and sends it out. On occasion, I’ve ordered things that were temporarily back ordered. They are quick to let me know what’s up and ask how I want to handle it. They’ve even upgraded shipping when things come in late, so that I get the order as soon as possible.
I’d recommend DRIS for all of your equipment needs.

If you are using another dive shop… you are most likely being used by another dive shop. These folks are FANTASTIC. They have high quality gear at the best available prices. If their price isn’t the lowest you find, let them know and they will match. The customer service is top notch. They place a premium on customer service and it will be obvious to you the first time you work with them. I live in Austin, TX but the dive shop in Plainfield, IL feels like and serves as my local dive shop. They are that good. You will not be disappointed.

I’ve made numerous purchases from these guys. They have been extremely good about being patient with me even when I spend hours in the shop mulling over a purchase. They are willing to bargain if they know you are willing to buy. Really happy with them.

These guys are awesome! I needed a whites enviro suit in a week witch is impossible but mike pulled it off big time. Amazing customer service, I called them and bothered them at least 5 times and they were always very nice and helpful. I would highly recomend them to anyone wanting to buy any kind of scuba gear. Full service dive shop! Retail space is nice, and they do repairs and maintenance on site. They have a large online presence and will match prices to other sites through a simple online form. They offer a huge array of classes, from basic diving to rescue driving and more technical deep dives with special air mixtures. They also plan trips around the midwest, and around the world. Go visit and the very knowledgeable staff will set you up for whatever you’re looking for!
