Not your typical Chinese restaurant. It is extremely clean and well kept. The food is excellent and well priced. The owner is always there and very hands on. I highly recommend this place.

By far my favorite chinesse restaurant. The food is great, the service is even better. I love the orange chicken and sesame chicken and so does my pikky son. The beef and broccoli is also good. I’ve tried alot of the food here and so far so like it all. I recommend this place to everyone

We love this place!!! Food is always great and the owner is so nice. It was Chinese New Year and out of nowhere the owner gave my son a little red envelope. Inside was a brand new $ 2 bill. She is always so generous. Will continue to go here for as long as she owns it. !!!

We eat here all the time. Love the Mongolian lamb and the honey walnut prawns. Great Chinese food and a wonderful staff. The owner always teaches us new Chinese phrases and makes us feel welcome. The food is never disappointing. Double hung Yao!

The food was absolutely delicious, we tried 6 or 7 different dishes. Our favorites were the honey walnut shrimp and the Mongolian beef. Prices are extremely reasonable. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was the service was very slow. It took over an hour for our first dish to hit the table. The place was very busy and there only appeared to be one waitress and one busser. Hopefully this was an anomaly, as we will most definitely be trying this place again.

Good Mongolian Beef and Shrimp chowmein. Great customer service and my order is always correct. I wish they were open on Monday because I always want to grab something on my way home from Sacramento but I understand. The only reason it is 4 stars and not 5 is because a small Chinese restaurant in Sun Valley Nevada made the best Mongolian Beef, it had a salty, a tiny bit sweet and a bunch of heat.. I have tried to find a replacement for it in Sacramento and Placerville, but this one is the closest. Honestly their chow mein is really good!!!

We have been going here for years but over the last six months the owner has been very rude last month my girlfriend ordered brocolli beef and the beef smelt and tasted bad we told the owner and she said«I’m sorry it’s because its been in the fridge for a week» then walked away and gave us our check then I call today for a to go order she says were too busy call back at 630 I go can u take my order now and I’ll get the food at 700 she says no. We had a good run but we will never go here again

With all the great reviews, my husband and I thought we’d make the drive out from Placerville. We finally found it, and went in. It was early for dinner, so we were the only people there. It was cute and clean inside. The service was great, especially for a Chinese place. They offer combination plate for dinner for about $ 10. It comes with soup, wonton, rice, chow mien and a meat. Our food arrived quickly(presumably some of it reheated). It was perfectly edible, but nothing great. I felt like it overall was pretty bland. Granted, I am picky when it comes to Chinese food and have been spoiled with really good stuff. This place was so-so, not bad, not good. I probably won’t go back.

As a major Chinese food fan this place is off the hook. The food is fresh, fairly priced and has excellent service usually from the owner. It is one of those places you would not expect to find out in the country. The food here is excellent. Whole family loves coming here especially the kids. The name of the business says it all. The food here is wonderful!

Absolutely love this place! Good service, and awesome fresh food. The hot and sour soup is freaking delish. I crave it on a regular basis! Everything we’ve tried has been awesome. It’s definitely worth the drive for us, and is better than all Chinese restaurants in the area.

There are only two good Chinese restaurants in El Dorado County. Wonderful in Pleasant Valley and Fortune Garden in El Dorado Hills. I was surprised to find how good they were because most of the restaurants in the area are very bland. Keep up the good work!

I’m from out of town visiting relatives and I have to say this place has really great chinese food! You have to try the house fried rice and the Mongolian beef dishes. I have to come here every time I’m in town.

The Chow Mein is a must order. I’m not typically a chow Mein person, but their version is not greasy and very flavorful. The noodle feel like the are fresh, and have a great mouthfeel. The service is great and the food is, dare I say«wonderful».

I ate at the Wonderful Chinese Restaurant for the second time Friday night. It was, well, wonderful. The food was excellently prepared. It was delivered promptly. The waitress was friendly but not intrusive. She kept our water glasses filled and checked with us about the food. They prepared a gluten-free dish for my granddaughter who has celiac disease — steamed vegetables and chicken. Not many places understand what’s needed. They did. The shrimp in the shrimp-fried rice were outstanding. Succulent, fresh and not over-cooked. The honey-walnut prawns were amazing. The kids loved the chow mein. This is worth the drive and beats anything else in the towns of Placerville and Diamond Springs by a long shot. It’s in Pleasant Valley, which is southeast of Placerville. I recommend this place highly. I’ll be back.

We’ve lived in south El Dorado county for over 26 years. We’ve tried many surrounding Chinese restaurants over the years, but this is our go-to for a yummy take-out dinner. Not because it’s the closest to us either, but because it is the best around! The restaurant is very clean and the ladies that work there are super nice. What they’ve really got going for them though, is the food. Our favorite is the Honey Walnut Shrimp – light, crispy and a little sweet. We also enjoy the cream cheese wonton, the mu shu, and the chow mein. I’m sure the other dishes are good, it’s just that the shrimp is so «wonderful,» we stick with it. If you’re ever out in our neck of the woods(or not, ’cause it’s worth the drive), check out Wonderful Chinese, across from Holiday Market.
