Raley’s

I LOVE Raleys! I am always amazed by the hometown feel I always get when I come here. The checkers are always so nice! I love the guy in the meat department! He is always telling me how to cook things just right! What’s on sale and how to marinade. The produce is always fresh. (When I go to the other big chain in town I always get gnats) Today, being Christmas Eve, I was amazed to see the store manager working too! He was also so kind giving stuffed animals to the kiddos that came through the line. I will forever be a faithful customer! Thank you!

This isn’t our local Market but go here regularly. The produce is fresh and they have most of the things I like to cook with. My only complaint is that when they were on strike they stood out in front and were rude to the people that frequent the store and the hands that feed them. Oh well. Unions are for low self esteem individuals anyway, who can’t find their own job.

Raley’s is becoming better and better… they listen to what the public wants… more organic and healthy foods to choose from. This location has a really good natural food department, but the fresh, organic produce department could be larger. The staff is very nice and accomodating and I love that they have shopping carts for the handicapped…
Oh, good choices in the pet department too… lots of healthier brands of pet foods and supplies…
And love that they carry Izzi!

I work at a local business and my associates and I eat at the Raley’s deli quite frequently. We really enjoy their made-​to-​order sandwiches and paninis. We sometimes get the morning breakfast paninis or burritios and all of their lunch-​time sandwiches are great. My favorite is the Eldorado panini. The staff is almost always pleasant and happy to help. Sometimes they are very busy, but do a good job of moving the customers through.

Please fix the bathrooms, dirty, no paper towels trash over flowing. TP holders all broken, TP rolls laying on floor. Tile grout on floor needs deep cleaning. Chronic problem for years, bad enough it makes me want to shop else where.

Raley’s dies a good job if providing natural foods to Placerville. They also have a surprising Asian section– did not expect that. I would like to see more local produce. It’s apple season (mid oct) and their bagged organic apples are from chile! It’s spring there, they must have been in cold storage for 6 months! I didn’t see any local apples, organic or conventional.

This is in relation the deli and corporates response to a complaint. I went in earlier this week for a sandwich. Waited over twenty minutes to get a grilled panini that was COLD. As in meet out if the fridge cold and cheese that wasn’t melted. Wrote an email to express my displeasure, and this was the response:

I love this store! I just recently moved back to Placerville and it is much larger and nicer (much!) than it was when I lived here before! They have a huge natural and organic food section — huge plus for me! I’ve also used their eCart twice and it was flawless both times.

Love this market, & they are best in town for service in the specialty departments. Meat counter employees truly offer traditional service, which is refreshing!

One time they called my phone to tell me they found my eye glasses. I do not own glasses :(AND ALSO when i was like 3 i ate plastic and threw up here and they gave me a free tshirt. Top notch service.

Great food and wine selection organized by region and with a number of wines from local wineries at good prices — competitive with Whole Foods in terms of selection and variety. The store is laid out in a very effective arrangement with tons of seasonal merchandise at reasonable prices. We bought sandwich fixings from the deli counter that were great and beat the price of shrink wrapped product in the refrigerated deli-​meats section.
Great shopping experience.

I have always wanted to support Raleys. They are a bit more pricey but they carry more organic and are usually friendly. My complaint is that I get the e-​coupons and last night, I went to get 2 bags of Pirate Booty on sale,. The price is listed with an e coupon. I left my piece of paper in the car and it was pouring and there were people in line behind me. They would not give me the sale price without either me running out in the rain and holding up the line or waiting while I booted up my phone and searched for the coupon. I find this very disappointing since they don’t hand out a special card to use and insist that you must have a computer or smartphone to print out their special coupon. It seems unfair and bad customer service. I’ve gone to grocery stores out of state and when they realize I don’t have their card, they pop one in to save me some money. Isn’t the purpose to bring folks in with great prices but then punish them if they don’t have the store internet sheet? I can understand with manufacturer’s coupons but very sad to see the store won’t offer the price to all unless you print out the coupon. Sad to give Raleys a low review and even sadder that their customer service was lacking. The ecoupons should be a way to bring people into the store but not require them to have the coupon on them.

It’s time to give credit where credit is due.
This is my local Raley’s Supermarket, It’s not the closest to my home but it’s definitely the cleanest and friendliest. Aside from having the best produce, I love the Deli. Especially when ordering sandwiches to go. How can you beat the best prices and the best tasting sandwiches around? They are always fresh and made to order, hot or cold. My favorite is the Hot Pastrami with Pepper Jack served on Ciabatta roll. Too big to finish so I usually keep half for that late afternoon snack. You can get a Sandwich, Drink and chips for less then $ 6.50 try and compare that to Safeway or Mr. Pickle. Hope this helps…

I love coming to this Raley’s. Always clean!
I love to get their sandwiches– always fresh, always delicious! I have panini’s or the cold sandwich. Bread is always delicious, flavorful, and ingredients are also fresh produce.
I also get the vegetable sushi which is also fresh and tasty.
Prices for groceries are a bit high, but I’m used to places like Food Maxx.
