We are glad we hired Mark Ford. We suspected the house we purchased had mold, so we went on a quest to find a qualified inspector. We wanted someone who is knowledgeable and legit. It took a lot of phone calls but Mark and his company fit the bill as they 1. are certified, 2. send their samples to an independent lab, 3. do not do any remediation/​repairs (so no conflict of interest). A few other companies I called seemed a little too eager to book an inspection, were vague on their credentials, and wanted to explain their «full-​service» remediation services along with sketchy pricing. I was so grateful that Mark said it was no problem for him to drive to our home in the Bay Area.
Mark came out to the house and did a very thorough inspection — not only inspecting the entire house but also crawling into the attic and crawl space. He provided a comprehensive report and explained in full his findings, the lab results, and an action plan. We had a lot of follow-​up questions and Mark was fantastic with quick response time and southern-​gentleman charm. Mark is professional, provides spot-​on advice, and is honest with fair pricing… really couldn’t ask for more in an inspector!
