Terrible food, the service is even worse. I wouldn’t go here again if I was dying from starvation.

I haven’t been here in years, and wow has this place gone downhill. Ordered the steak fajitas, and a couple of drinks. Took 45 minutes before we got our appetizers, while we watched the waitress serve two other people their entrée’s, and she made no apology for the wait. The beans and rice which were on a separate plate you could tell were either reheated or sat under the heat lamp too long, probably waiting for the fajitas to cook. It would have been fine had the cook just messed up, and there was an extra wait(mistakes happen), but jeez, no apology or mention of the long wait??? No check up while we were eating, no offer for refills of water; overall the experience was horrible service with mediocre food. We won’t be returning. The table was really cool though.

If you eat here and you think this is good mexican food, then you don’t know good mexican food and I feel bad for you! I ate here with my husband and daughter, and we will never go back sad to say. The server was good and she did a great job for how busy she was. But the food, bad. We went here for lunch, we had never been here before but we took the risk because the parking lot was so packed that we figured it must be good! Never had mexican food so bland and flavorless in my life. What a waste of calories. No thanks. I’ll never come back. I can not believe anyone would think the food here was good.

Our original server was perfect. They switched midway. All of the sudden it went bad. They didn’t put half our order in. So half the people finished their food before we got ours. Next, they messed up my order and had to fix. It’s usually a good play. 3.5−4 stars. Today it was bad. Hopefully they realize what a bad idea it is to switch servers when it’s a 10 person party.

This used to be a good place to get quality food and margaritas. Not sure what happened to it — maybe new owner or manager? Food is ordinary and the cheapest margaritas and mostly water and very little tequila. And there is a very offensive cartoon in the bar.

My Family went Here this Christmas Eve to get Food and I got Shrimp Fajitas and she got a Beef Burrito Both were Terrible, the Tortillas werent even Cooked. Shrimp Fajitas had Corn Tortillas that weren’t Cooked either… The Shrimp was Terrible Chewy with Bell peppers that werent fully Cooked as well… The Worst Fajitas ive every had… We could tell the Cook didn’t Care about what he was doing… This Place shouldn’t even be Open. How can you Screw up Mexican Food… Need to Fire the Cook or you will never have anyone come Back… We were so Disappointed… I only Post Comments when the Bussiness is so Horrible it should be Avoided… Problem is the Cook does Care… Eat at your own Risk. You’ve been Warned… from someone who lives here in Placerville We are a Small Town but Bad Food is No Excuse…

Food was awful. Chile Verde was $ 15 and barely a lunch portion, not to mention it tasted like a bunch of billed pork with canned green Chile salsa. My son had a bean and cheese burrito which was better than my $ 15 plate

My husband is a big fan of this place. He brought me here for my first time last Sunday for dinner. The place is a sit-down restaurant with a bar. They have a huge selection of various margaritas that you can get over the rocks or blended. They must be good because almost everybody in the joint was drinking one. The place has a casual«come as you are» vibe. The place is clean but not modern. Our waitress was great, she was friendly and efficient. Hubs ordered the two shredded beef taco dinner combo, it come with beans and rice and choice of cup of soup or salad. He choose the soup option which was albondigas(SP?) soup. I ordered the chile rellono and cheese enchilada combo with green salad. I think both combos were around $ 11 – 12 each. The dinner combos were served on platter size dishes. My chile rellono, enchilada, rice and beans were ok, not superstar stellar. However, the soup was delicious, it was so flavorful. You can tell they took the time to simmer/cook the soup to obtain that great taste. My salad was tasty, lots of fresh ingredients. Hubs loved his tacos. The complimentary chips and salsa were terrific. The chips were thin, light, and had a nice crispiness. I’m definitely willing to come back and try different items on the menu.

I’m not quite sure why this place has poor reviews. Our experience was nothing but positive and the portion sizes are giant. Food was very good and seemed to be authentic Mexican. Our service was timely and pleasant and our waitress was very friendly and funny too. A little pricey but like I said, giant portions and authentic. We will definitely be back.

First of all they threw a fit over our service dog, demanding to see documentation or leave immediately. We provided our doctors note, which took the owner 3 minutes before letting us in. The free chips and salsa were very good, and the server then tried to be nice to make up for how rudely she initially treated us, but being seated away from everyone else made it difficult for her to check on us as she couldn’t see us unless she came to our table. I ordered a chicken burrito and a carne asana burrito, we received a chicken burrito and carnitas. I noticed the chicken burrito was only chicken and cheese, with very little lettuce, one tomato slice, one small dollop of sour cream but a generous portion of guacamole, the carnitas was the same but had beans too. After 8 and a half min. When the server came back, I asked why I didn’t have beans and why my wife’s had burned pork, she told us carnitas are supposed to be cooked until hard, and that burritos do not come with beans, but next time you can add them for a small charge. She then refilled our empty(been empty for 4 min but she could not see us where we were seated away from everyone else) and left for about 9 min. When we were finishing our food to give us the bill. They did provide two complementary breath mints that were individually sealed, but when opened they were old and stale. My wife and I have eaten here last about a year ago, and this place was great, but it has clearly dropped in food quality and service ALOT. I will not return.

This place was awful. I went here with my parents The rice was crunchy, the service was awful. My father didn’t receive his meal until half an hour after my mom and I received ours, so we were completely done with ours when he got his. The service was so awful, and the food was barely even edible, they did not care at all that the food was bad. The servers were outright rude. The worst mexican restaraunt I’ve ever been to. Go to tortilla flats instead… my parents decided to give it another chance since they live near there, she had to send her food back because they put raw onions in it which her stomach can’t tolerate, she told the waitress she asked for no onions, the waitress argued with her, then gave her another crappy meal, my mom got very ill shortly after her meal… ugh, go anywhere but here!

Great food! I really don’t know how to explain some of the bad reviews as they are not representative of my experiences here. Is it my imagination, or is it true that mean people are allowed to run amok on this site? I sometimes think competitors or their friends write bad reviews. Sure, the décor is dated, but the food & drinks are the tops!

When I ordered the #18 combo(chile relleno + beef tostada) the waitress warned that the rellenos have been rather spicy of late.(Yeah, right). I said«No problem. The hotter the better». When our meal arrived the waitress gave the customary«hot plate» warning, She wasn’t kidding! I can’t remember the last time that I couldn’t handle the plate with bare hands … not this time. The meal arrived too hot(thermally) to eat! What a nice change from the norm. As for the«spicy» relleno, that too was not an exaggeration. This crop of Poblano chiles had some life in them. The tostada was piled high with beef and toppings; too cumbersome to pick up and eat. A few spoonfuls of salsa and it was ready to fork into my gaping maw. I thought maybe I was at Los Dos Molinos in Phoenix! Great meal! This place ranks above Casa Ramos in my book.

Absolutely horrifying service. Chicken tacos had about enough chicken in them to fill a thimble. Not an understatement at all. Save your money and your time. Might as well head down to the gas station and buy a hot dog that’s been on the warmer for a week.

Amazing service. Delicious food. I enjoyed the friendly staff just as much as I enjoyed the really good mexican food. I plan on returning and returning often. It was nice to leave feeling like a part of the family having only been there once. That’s pretty rare and definitely worth the return just on its own but the food is right on point and just a downright great place. You should totally eat here you surely won’t regret it!

Although the young hostess was friendly, the server was absent and the food was at best– average. We got the carnitas which arrived as 7 chunks of dry pork with no sauce. Sad for such a cute and clean little place. Better luck next time, if there is one.

Where to begin with this nightmare of a restaurant. I ordered a super veggie burrito here, no rice, disgusting boiled pinto beans, green pepper and oily onion is what I got. Thrown on a plate with a tortilla thrown over the whole mess. Despite ordering vegitarian there was steak in my burrito followed by a gaint hair. Everything was submerged in a giant puddle of oily water. I can only assume they threw all the«veggies» and meats for both burritos in one pan and added half a pound of lard or butter to cook it in. Disgusting. Overpriced… seriously in need of a menu upgrade. The only saving grace was the margarita, pomagranate margarita was strong and tasty. I noticed most of the other patrons were only drinking their lunches!
