C & H Motor Parts

I went to several other parts stores in the area looking for an idler pulley bearing. They brought out the wrong one at all of them. Also they didn’t have just the bearing. The whole pulley for 20 – 30 dollars. C & H had the exact bearing I needed. I also got it for 4 dollars! I think I will start going here more.

Was told to go here by some local friends when they heard I required some odd parts for getting my project car back on the road. This, folks, is a proper old school parts shop. On all of my visits I was helped by the same guy (want to say his name was Steve?) who was always happy to take the time needed to get my various needs figured out.
Came in once needing an oddball stud. Walked me back behind the counter, showed me where they were stored, said have at it and to find him if I needed any more help. Didn’t find that stud, but did find a couple other things I needed during the process.
Once their total sales were a whopping $ 5 for a couple compression fittings… and about 15 minutes of his time. Heck, he even cut down a small brass tube for my fuel pressure gauge for me, in addition to neatly cleaning up the edges and test fitting everything to boot! All done with a smile and sincere hopes that what we found would work as needed.
Of course they have a large selection of everyday items: oil, filters, fluids, all sorts of hoses (quality stuff too! The locking hoses they carry are great), tools and everything else. But in my book, it’s their staff and the knowledge they have that will keep me coming back again and again.
