My husband and I went here last week for the first time. We walked over from across the street because we were getting new tires. I am so happy we did. The place has such a family feel to it. We felt like we were in someone’s home. Food was amazing and the fish was great quality. The waitress was a beautiful sweet woman and her husband was the sushi chef. When we went it was happy hour. Great prices!!! I can’t wait to go back. Probably this weekend. This is our new favorite sushi restaurant.

First time here was excited to try a new sushi place nearby. Being in the restaurant industry a few things I noticed were it was clean but very few employees on shift. We went on a Thursday night around 6:30. The house salad was good, my tuna sashimi cuts were not great quality, very thin and lots of tendons. Our food took a really long time to get to us even though we saw it sitting on the sushi bar counter. Something else strange was our check was not itemized just numbers typed up and totaled.

This place has amazing prices and great food! Their lunch special is extremely filling for only $ 7.50! Their dinner options are awesome as well. I have yet to get just a roll here because I’m hooked on their specials but they look amazing!

This place has awesome rolls for $ 10 each. However the service was slow and irritating. We watched our rolls sit on the counter for 5 minutes before they were served. Then, we waited another 25 minutes for our hand rolls, which were ordered at the same time as the sushi rolls. We asked for the check prior to all of our food being delivered. I like to be in and out of a restaurant and this place took over an hour for us.

My family have been coming here for years and still absolutely love it! Unmatched customer service, a relatively quiet and relaxing atmosphere, fresh yet affordable sushi, and the fantastic Dinner Special never disappoint. I have no idea why there are such bad reviews. If you are eating sushi or raw fish of any kind, regardless of where, you are putting yourself at risk for a parasitic infection. I think they are now training other sushi chefs now too.

I really like this restaurant. Been there several times. My favorite to order is a sushi roll called the Macho Man Burrito. It has hamachi, maguro, sake, rice paper, and some juicy kind of sauce. The down side is the place gets really warm on hot days, plus the beers are almost room temperature. If you order any, ask them to put yours in the freezer for 10– 15 minutes.

I’ve been going here for years. My mother introduced me to Ise’s Japanese cuisine. They are well priced, hospitable, and truly authentic, I’ve heard negative reviews and I can’t understand why unless they were in a foul mood or were sick to begin with. I have no gallbladder, IBS, and a sensitive stomach. Believe me their sushi is fresh and made to order, I’ve never had a problem coming from someone so sensitive. The food is fresh delicious and they have various items on the menu. So enjoy and thank them!

My last and final update! The owners response shows the true colors of this restaurant and its owners and its truly sad. We used to think they cared about us and they really didn’t. Why in Gods name would I want to go back in after being accused of lying? Have been telling people not to go here and its been working. Found my new home at Sushi In Motion in Brea and its amazing! They actually care about you there and get this: you dont get parasites from their food!

I’ve come here easily 60 times over the past 9 years.(Most of these visits were a long time ago). My wife was craving sushi and we didn’t want to go far or drop a lot of cash so we thought why not try Ise again… I’m sorry to say that it was WAY subpar. The spicy tuna rolls were straight up stale tasting. The nori tasted like the cheap crap from China, not good Japanese nori. The rice was your typical poorly prepared/vinegared middle of the road sushi joint rice. My wife and I dropped $ 48(including a tiny tip) and I was feeling pretty certain that I would end up with a serious case of the runs from this place. I know that I ended up getting food poisoning from here about 8 years ago but after I got over it I still came back for more(dumb, I know). The sushi chef kept coughing and sneezing while preparing the rolls and nigiri and I was super grossed out but didn’t wanna make a big deal since my wife REALLY wanted her sushi — I just grimaced and figured worst-case I get sick but won’t die… I’m sorry to say this place has been declining steadily in quality over the last decade. They did redecorate and got new menus, but it’s simply not worth the price they’re asking. If you want sushi that is merely decent keep looking… of you want sushi that is subpar stop on in; they will be polite, greet you and happily take your money for their poor quality sushi.

Love this place. Whenever the family is in town it’s go time. Whenever we go here we get ay least a couple of their Green Monsters. I always get the standard salmon/spicy tuna roll. I’ll some times throw in some udon noodles.

Pleasantly surprised! Don’t be turned off by the shopping center; everything’s great inside. We came by Friday evening at around 8pm. This was our 2nd time, the first was a long time ago and it was for happy hour. Food: super fresh and tasty sushi! I don’t remember the first time being this good. We really enjoyed everything we ordered. We got the Candy, Heart Attack, Spicy Crunch, Hungry, Jalapeño roll, and Philadelphia. Also, ordered the Egg Rolls, and received complimentary edamame. Candy was my favorite but everything else was on point!!! Tons of flavor, great combinations, and fresh fish. Service: very sweet, super attentive, and extremely appreciative of our business. My boyfriend’s selling point«my water was constantly refilled!» Lol. Atmosphere: clean, modern, spacious, but the music was classical — I just wish it was Japanese. No biggie!

Our first attempt to be regulars was a flop. My Signora and I sat at the sushi bar because we didn’t want rolls, we wanted SUSHI. Ise has only 1 sushi chef on a Friday evening, and he was busy making rolls for the whole place. For every little pair of sushi he gave us, we then had to get to the«back of the line» for the next one, and we waited an eternity between servings. And we were not allowed to give our order to the sushi chef, we had to tell the wait staff. I guess he was too busy. And grumpy. I was ready to spend more $ at Ise, but we left and went sushi bar hopping over to Fish in a Bottle — which unlike Ise a First Class Place! Keep driving past Ise to Imperial Ave. and check out Fish in a Bottle. Much, much better, and Signora approved.

I don’t know why this place is so underrated.(Maybe it is cheaper than its quality?) The fish is really fresh and the décor is very nice and clean. It sure is a hidden gem. I know this place has been around for years and one thing I noticed was that they didn’t advertise enough, which makes it less crowded as other restaurants like kabuki and that is actually the thing I like about. It really is just a nice place to enjoy your food and time. The service is good and they have a huge selection of rolls, lots to choose from. I wasn’t at the happy hour, but I will definitely come back for its very low price(still not expensive at all without happy hour). I really did enjoy the whole experience here. :)

Extremely mediocre, cheap sushi. I’m not going to complain too much because you get what you pay for. The lunch special, was a fantastic deal at $ 7 for chicken teriyaki, cali roll, tempura, salad, miso soup, and edamame. But even though the only«sushi» like item that came with my meal was a california roll, which doesn’t even have raw fish in it, I could taste how not fresh the fish was –_– Honestly, you’re probably better off spending an extra $ 5 and going somewhere with better quality food.
