Waited almost an hour for our food. No explination as to why and it wasnt even busy. The food wasnt awful but it wasnt great either.

Had the French toast here and it was was very good. The waiter was very good with us and our order No complaints.

Don’t waste your time here. Food looked nothing like menu picture. Didn’t even get my food made right

Breakfast was good, but the service was unbearably slow! Watched a table wait 10 minutes just for someone to come over. Not great!

Food was gross, and took a long time to get. Waitress coughed a phlegmy cough on her hand as we were ordering. Then she picked her ear. That’s what I get for eating at a chain off the highway.

Eh, nothing special, but it’s ok.

Poorly managed out the wazoo. one waitress and cook for a pretty full restaurant. Not the workers fault. The manager was fantastic and really pitched in, but even so we waited almost an hour. Our waitress took 25 minutes to bring us drinks. We were warned that they were short staffed but nonetheless there’s a lot of problems in this place.

Will never stop at another Perkins if I can help it after my experience here. Stopped on a long trip with my father at the end of July 2014. We were seated promptly, but then we waited, and waited, and waited. Finally our order was taken, and then the waiting started over. The place was less than half full, but we waited over 30 min. for our meal once the order was taken. We only ordered sandwiches. Had I known the area of Pittston better, I would have left and gone someplace else. As it was I had my 87 year old father with me, and he was hungry, so we waited it out. Once the food finally showed up it was not very good, but at that point we were starving so we ate. Service was nonexistent the entire time after we were seated; took forever to take our order, once they did it took way longer to be served, we even waited a long time to get the check (I asked for it 3 times before it finally came), and drink refills, forget about it. Not once did anyone come by and ask if we wanted a refill. As my 87 year old father, who is suffering from dementia, kept saying for the rest of the weekend, «take Perkins off the list.» He can’t remember his kid’s names at times, but weeks later he still remembered the horrible service we received at Perkins. If you have nothing but time on your hands, and you like mediocre food, feel free to stop, but if you are traveling like we were, stay clear of this place.

Onion rings are awesome, but my Greek salad was sent back because it came out as a Ceasars salad smothered with parmesan cheese & chicken as a vegetarian I was not happy with the waitress trying to tell me it was a Greek salad

The food was boringly okay, but the service was utterly pathetic. There were two other tables besides mine. Each had its own server. I of course got stuck with the worst of the bunch. We sat for over ten minutes after eating waiting for the bill. I finally got up and walked to the register to see if I could get it that way. Luckily, the waitress finally came over to the table and gave the check to my husband. The manager who rang up the sale asked how everything was and I said «it was okay». He didn’t bother to ask why it wasn’t better. The server, Vickie, had no other customers, but yet she only came to our table 4 times: once to get drinks and our order, once to bring an appetizer, once to bring the food, and then to being the check Never asked how the food was, never asked if we wanted dessert, which we did but ended up not getting because of the wait. No refills were offered. Terrible.

Average, but consistent food. However, service here has really gone down hill. Long wait for food, long wait for drink refill, long wait for check.

Perkins is close to home which is probably the only reason I continue to go back. I love the idea of 24hr breakfast since I usually crave some sort of breakfast food later in the day.
I almost always order breakfast every time I’ve been there, and every single time I got hash browns as my side they come out basically raw. On my last trip there, I actually asked the waitress if they could cook them a little longer because they were actually cold this time aside from not being browned whatsoever. The waitress was very kind and apologetic and and offered to bring me out a whole new batch. Upon her arrival of my new set of hash browns, they were just as raw as a first bunch. By this point I just gave up on ever getting good crispy warm hash browns from Perkins.
On a NOT breakfast note, I have had the mini chimi’s and they are very tasty! Their chicken noodle soup is also very tasty and reminds me of something homemade.
All and all, Perkins is nothing great and has burned me many times, yet I still find myself wandering back in from time to time.

To start, the service was very slow. It took 10 minutes to get a waterand 40 minutes for our breakfast to come out. I ordered the blueberry pancakes with sliced banana on top. They were described as «loaded with fresh blueberries». The dish came out and I saw FOUR blueberries in the top pancake and FIVE blueberries in the bottom pancake AND they were all smack in the middle, not nicely spread out, with raw pancake batter in the center. There were 4 pieces of a sliced banana atop the pancake. VERY different from the picture in their menu. My dining partner said his meal was mediocre at best. The toast was slightly warmed bread with butter on it. We will not return to this restaurant.
