Went to this location today I was sad to find out the one in Fairport had closed but I always drive by this one and had a craving so decided to stop. I ordered a large salad which was only about $ 7 pretty reasonable considering the size and amount that was given to me. Great customer service was greeted as I walked in also asked about the salad and dressings and the cashier was nice and explained to me the options. Also I am very impressed with the size of the salad and the amount of chicken that came with it. Usually most places give you minimal amount this salad was really loaded up which as a salad lover is awesome to see :) I got my order to go and was given silverware and multiple dressings and croutons already in my bag all ready to go I really appreciated that service! They do need a remodel though! I really appreciate the quick and great service will definitely be back here again soon :)!

This place and probably Joe’s or the Pizza Stop hold the title of best pizzeria in Rochester. Their Buffalo chicken pizza is probably the best I’ve had and that combined with some country sweet sauce or bleu cheese to dip in results in a delicious meal anytime of the day

Talk about overrated pizza. If you are a gluten you will enjoy but if you want a pizza that is well balanced with all the flavors of the dough, sauce, cheese and the toppings this definitely not it.

So I walked in here and attempted to pick up my food. Turns out I called a different location. They went out of their way to take care of it and made a fresh pizza on the spot. While waiting they offered me a taste of their buffalo pizza which was amazing! The pizza turned out great and came out quickly. I will definitely stop back here in the future. Thank you

This is the best pizza on the planet. When people visit, we go here; they do not disagree. They even bring slices back on their flights home. Pontillos in the basin is a Rochester relic and should be enshrined in the Pizza Hall of Fame, right next to mozzarella and pepperoni. Blue cheese? Yes, extra blue cheese, actually.

Some of the best pizza in Rochester! You can’t go wrong with a large Pepperoni. And the owner is a great guy!

The is the best Pontillo’s in the area and one of the tastiest sauces we’ve ever had. In reply to Apryl M. on their customer service, they are very busy here and they run coupons in the local pennysaver monthly.

This is the best Pontillos in the ROC region! Wings crispier then the rest. Pizza fast and on point. If I’m next to a Pontillos and this one is within 20 minutes, I’ll drive here for take out. It’s that much better!

Just had the rudest phone girl named Ashley when we asked what specials they had. Sorry we are new to the area and were unaware they were too good for coupons. When I said we might call back and I said thank you for the information, she just hung up on me.
Don’t be in customer service if you can’t handle simple questions.

I have come all the way from Tucson, AZ to enjoy the delicious pizza at Pontillo’s! I especially love the Buffalo Chicken pizza. Wish I could find pizza in Tucson that came close to Pontillo’s!!!

Best Pontillo’s in all of Rochester. Whatever they do why don’t the other Pontillo’s copy?

Very disappointed the dough was very tough and chewy. My guess it had been over worked. After we got through the hunger stage decided to throughout out the remaing half of pizza because it was not worth the jaw exercise.
Also, chicken wings we’re more like pigeon wings. Don’t need to say more.
Sorry, I have been a customer for the past 15 years. Very disappointed ! ! !
What was no longer is.

Went to Rochester to visit my boyfriends family the day after Christmas. Since booking the flight a moth ago, he has talked about us grabbing pizza at Pontillos. I knew I would be impressed.
It was amazing. One slice was so filling. I had the cheese and he had the pepperoni and peppers. The crust was so tasty and thick.
The icing on the cake was the friendly service. The guy at the register talked to us about living in VA and the what brought us to the area. He ended up bringing out a slice of buffalo chicken for us to enjoy. Overall an amazing pizza place that I wish I wasn’t 6 hours away from.

By far the best pie in Rochester. They always have a variety of slices for lunch and not your standard cheese or pepperoni. Quick service, nice employees. And you know it’s an authentic Rochester pizzeria when blue cheese is there for the taking!

Best slices in the world, may be an understatement. I moved out west, and this is the the list if things I miss most:
1. family
2. friends
3. Tilo’s in the basin.
It is always my first stop when returning home.

Consistently the best pizza around. Their slices are awesome and the pies are good too. Other pizza places (even other Pontillo’s) don’t hold a candle to this Pontillo’s branch.
The ingredients are super fresh and delicious. Pizza isn’t too greasy (I mean don’t expect no grease — it’s still melted cheese!). It’s always ready on time.
We love dipping the pizza in blue cheese, of course. The blue cheese and boss sauce come in little cups that they must fill themselves; they don’t charge you extra for any of them. Other places charge like 50 cents per cup and aren’t even as good as the blue cheese from this Pontillo’s. My husband says their pizza prices are a bit higher than other places, but we really don’t care. We love this pizza so much we will drive 35 mins round trip to pick it up rather than order from any of the numerous pizza places in the city.
It’s not «gourmet» like Tony D’s or other places with crazy toppings and stuff, but it’s classic, fresh, homemade and fantastically delicious. When we are craving regular pizza it is the only place to fit the bill.

Amazing pizza!
I’m basing this review on my 50+ times I’ve been here during the lunch time hours.
On arrival they have a wonderfully planned system where tell them what you want and pay, while another employee is already preparing your slice or order.
This is a great in and out process.
For pizza slices they have all kinds. Also the pizza is very consistent, you will never have a bad slice… ever! The slices are perfectly sized and not gigantic like some place and the prices for every slice is $ 2 with free, yes free blue cheese.
