The Home Depot

Every home depot that i have ever been to had amazing customer service. This one was no different. A few guys working outside asked what brought me in. i mentioned im looking for a small pot and soil to pot my new ficus. J. P directed me toward the outdoor area where all pots were located and mentioned soil was on the back wall.
For it being winter, there were cute pots still available at very affordable prices. I only needed a smaller one so i picked a clay pot with a light green color on the bottom. It was under $ 4 and worked perfectly for my newly rooted ficus plant.
I had a little trouble finding the soil as well as a worker in the outdoor area (i did hear him, but he left when i actually decided i needed help, no biggie) I remembered jp saying it was on the back wall so i assumed in the outdoor area. then i noticed it was on the backwall before the outdoor area.
On my way to check out, 2 other employees asked me if i found everything ok. I did self checkout and was done in no time. I bought a pot & organic miracle grow for under $ 10. im satisfied. After leaving i remembered that i needed measuring tape and packing tape so another trip to home depot is in my near future.

This Home Depot got it all. Halloween stuff. To be honest, all I needed was a Swiffer. Every tool you could imagine on planet Earth.

I don’t have much cause to visit hardware stores as an adult because I’m not a homeowner, but today my husband and I had to go because we are in charge of our lawn maintenance for some stupid reason. Usually I’m resistant to getting assistance from the sales associates because I know the retail business, and it’s all about upselling. They are called sales associates for a reason. But the lady that helped us pick out a weedwhacker was very helpful and not pushy. We gave her our budget and she gave us cheaper options and let us know the pros and cons between them. Didn’t even suggest the high end products. She was quite knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. We got exactly what we needed, and made an educated purchase instead of just grabbing one.
The guy who helped us find nuts and bolts we needed for some random household appliances was great too. The nuts and bolts aisle was quite overwhelming. There’s just way too many to look at, and all of varying size, length, and thickness. Left to our own devices, I think we would have been in there for hours staring at the wall of screws wondering which one is the one we need. The sales associate got us in and out of there in 10 minutes.
Even the cashier was in fine form. She was so overly happy that she was practically singing out the items we were purchasing as she was scanning them. A little unusual, but not unpleasant…

This is one of the better Home Depot stores in the Pittsburgh area in my opinion. I think you can probably find most everything you would need at this location. I like that it doesn’t feel like some of the other locations as if everything is overstuffed into the store. The aisles are nice and wide and most of the merchandise is neatly organized and the employees seems to have a good idea what section you need to be in when you are looking for stuff.

I walked in with one mission, to get a set of keys made. And I did just that. I walked up to the key making station and when I was noticed, I just said I needed keys made. All four keys I had made looked the same. I thought that the associate working this section was trying to up sale me on the keys when he pulled out the colorful ones. All I wanted was a simple set of keys. After contemplating for about two minutes I went with his suggestion. It was actually pretty smart. Four similar keys with a different color on them probably would make it easier for my roommate to decipher which key worked for what door. And the price differential was only about $.10.
Friendly and helpful, that’s the way it should be when it comes to customer service.

Staff are extremely helpful. Have almost everything you would need for a project with reasonable prices. Quick checkout and return processes. Cashier’s have been friendly during each of my several visits.

My local Home Depot was out of the flooring I needed so a helpful associate in Cranberry Township directed me here.
After getting my closeout flooring, I then checked out. The prices here were a few dollars higher than the location close to my house and we asked the sales associate if we could price match the other location. It was no problem. She keyed in the code and low and behold our total was cheaper. I liked that it was no hassle to price match here. Most stores have you pull out a flyer and after ten phone calls they give you the discount. That’s what makes Home Depot different: They seem to care about their customers and deliver a great experience when you shop there.
