My laundrymat in southside was full, so i decided to come here. Icould’ve went to homestead or west mifflin, but I’ve taken my friend to both and didn’t like either. First and foremost, they have a bathroom! Which sounds strange but the one in south side does not. It also has a vending machine, drink machine, ATM, laundry vending machine anddddd TVs(another plus) They seem to have 3 sizes of washers. An 8 load, a medium(5?) Load and a smaller one(3 load?) 8 load was $ 8 no matter what temp water you want. It was equal in size to the 10 load one I’m used to and fit alotttt of laundry. The other small washer was $ 3. There are lots of dryers offered in two sizes. I’m not sure of the small dryers, but the large one was 50cents and only gave me 6minutes. –_– One huge plus is the attendant that is here. The change machine took my money and she gave it back to me. 50 cents for 6minutes is outragagous. I put a dollar in each dryer(12 minutes) and my stuff was just as wet as when I put it in. 25 cents = 7 minutes in south side and trust me 14 minutes and your stuff is so dry and hot its burning your hand. 3.5 stars.

I checked out Unilocal to find a reputable laundromat near Mt Washington… And boy, did I find what I was looking for! I needed big washers for a big quilt and pillows. They had a big enough size to do all in 1 load and it only took 25 min. Since this was only my 2nd visit ever in my lifetime I needed a lot of instruction with the how to’s of payment and adding soap. There was the nicest woman working there who offered even more than I knew to ask. Everything turned out perfect. Oh while the machine worked, I took a short walk up the St. To SLICE for some delicious pizza and a beer!

If you need to wash & dry your clothes, this is the place. First and foremost, the place is spotless inside, I feel a necessity while washing clothes. Second, the washers and driers are brand new, large, and exceptionally clean. There are TVs and wifi while waiting. Staff is wonderful and helpful.

I’m not going to say I don’t make bad decisions, I’m an adult and I’m fully capable of owning up to my choices. Unfortunately one of those choices was having two weeks of laundry to wash when I moved across town to Beechview and then waiting 3 more weeks to wash clothes.(This probably gives you some insight into the sort of person I am in general…) This morning I solemnly marched myself to the Spin and Spin with what equated to 9 – 12 loads of laundry. Located on Broadway with it’s own private parking lot and a brightly painted mural outside it’s easy to find and easier to park. Once I stepped inside I realized something, this place is cleaner than my house. The floors sparkle and the machines are pristine. Large and bright with ceiling fans and devoid of any of that funky musty smell a lot of laundromats acquire. I found various vending machine of the snack, drink, and laundry variety and some arcade games to keep me busy. They’ve got an ATM and change machine and an attendant on hand. They even have a restroom which was perfectly clean and utilizing a token system that you have to obtain from the attendant on hand. Free wifi. Televisions. It doesn’t get squeaky cleaner than this!

Just passing through on a long trip. My clothes were beginning to smell and this place was highly recommended. It is exactly as described. Parking is great. Very clean even the bathroom. The washer didn’t spin out as much water as I’d like but hopefully the dryer is super strong!

I used to live in Beechview conveniently down the street from Sip N Spin and have been going back ever since and I don’t even live in South Hills anymore, the place is that good! The laundry machines are brand new and the whole place is really clean. The staff are very friendly and the small store up front is reasonably priced. Plus, parking is free. It makes washing clothes much more relaxing then it should be. Note: the small convenience store is gone but still the one of the best laundromat’s in Pittsburgh.

I’m a huge fan of Sip N Spin. I don’t even live in Beechview, I live in Brookline, but I make the small drive over because it doesn’t get much better in terms of laundromats. This place is clean — always. It’s got a large selection of different sized washers and dryers. Though it does get busy on certain days(Sundays especially), I’ve never had to wait for either a washer or dryer. Also, the prices are extremely fair. There is also a parking lot, so you don’t ever have to feed a meter. In addition, there is a coffee shop/convenience area connected to the laundromat. I LOVE this about it. I almost look forward to doing my laundry now because I know there is a nice cozy chair for me to sit in while I sip coffee, read a book, maybe snack on some chips or pretzels and wait for my laundry to finish. In addition, the library is literally two doors down, so if you want to use the computer or check out a book while you’re waiting for a load to finish, it’s super easy. Also, the owner is so friendly and seems to really care about his clientele. One day when I was there I was concerned that my clothes weren’t being washed in warm water. He was so nice — he called the company, put them on speaker phone and voiced my concerns to them. They told me that they were in fact being washed in warm and rinsed in cold water. He then took me back to the room where the water heaters are and showed me how he had just installed all new, ENERGYEFFICIENT water heaters. I was thrilled about that little fact and also that he was so kind as to take time and answer my questions. So, if you need to go to a laundromat and you always dread laundry day, seriously check out Sip n Spin… not only will you probably save a few quarters, you’ll find yourself enjoying some coffee or hot chocolate in an unusually clean, friendly staffed, laundromat!

Just moved in to the neighborhood(Beechview), and I haven’t set up my laundry room yet, so I had to go to a laundromat, this one was right up the street. The laundromat entrance is on the side of the building, which is a bit confusing, since the entrance is under construction. Inside, though, everything was clean, bright, and well-maintained. I only saw one out-of-order sign. I had no problems with the washers or dryers. This front part of the business is a tiny store that sells coffee, snacks, cold drinks and lottery tickets. There is inside and outside seating, and it seems like a nice social space. There is free WiFi, but I did not use it.

It is so difficult to find a laundromat that will do wash, dry, and fold when you drop off clothes. This business is a little out of the way, but it is difinitely worth it. They are able to get proper turn around while doing a quality job. In addition to being a laundromat, there is also a small convenience store and coffee spot in front. I haven’t tried it yet, but I just might sometime in the future.
