I’ve been going to Dr. Petraglia’s office for some years now. The staff is professional and Dr. Petraglia knows what he’s doing. The inside of the office is dated as previous reviews mentioned, but that’s not a big deal to me. About two years ago, I developed ulcers on my gums(too much acidic foods/drinks) which caused discomfort. Dr. Petraglia gave me a sample size of something(I don’t remember tge name of it) to apply to the affected area. It helped tremendously. Thankfully, a prescription wasn’t needed and I cut back on lemon water — the culprit. Only metered street parking is available. For a routine cleaning, I’m there for about one half hour, no more than 45 minutes. To celebrate no cavities, I bought two cookies from Paddy Cake Bakery, up the block. Review to come…

I had my first visit last Thursday for a semi-emergency(chipped tooth) and was able to book a same day appointment. The staff are helpful, and the doctor is very skillful. The space is not impressive though. Overall I left happy.

I have a MAJORMAJOR dental phobia. I made my first appointment with Dr. Petraglia about 10 years ago. Before then — I have not been to a dentist in over 20 years/ My teeth were not healthy despite the fact that I have brushed them twice a day. Dr. Petraglia knew by just looking at me that I had many dentophobia fears. He has been very patient with me as sometimes my nervousness fought the drill. I have been seeing Dr. Petraglia now for over 10 years. He is excellent when it comes to emergency appointments.

I have gone to this Doctor for years, he was recommended to me by my girlfriend. The office is a bit dated and could use a fresh clean update. The main doctor Petraglia has a straight to the point bedside manner which I like. What is most important to me is that he is a good dentist, I’m not going there to make friends. Once I had an emergency dental problem out of town and the dentist that I saw took one look into my mouth and actually inquired about and complimented the work that I had done by Dr. Petraglia. His staff is diverse and welcoming and my wait is usually reasonable, I normally put a dollar in the meter which is good for an hour. I would recommend him for sure.

So, I just recently(and finally) got a dentist here, and decided to go to Pretaglia because it was so close to my place. I’ve been here twice, and the wait I’ve had both times were incredibly long and unnecessary. Once, I was the only person in the wait room for almost half an hour. Second, the place is old, stuffy, and the décor is archaic. Petraglia’s bedside manner is not great, hardly shaking my hand before getting into my mouth. Both visits had very little dentist/patient time– so I wonder why the wait is so long. Furthermore, they sent me home with the cheapest toothbrush and paste possible, highly ironic at a dentist’s office that preaches upscale products for the betterment of your teeth and gums. Knowledgeable enough, but I think he has a lot to learn about making his patients feel welcomed in a place that looks like it’s actually in the 21st century.
