One of worst patient experiences. Dr Berkowitz is rude, impatient and a poor listener. He then try’s to push his optomtetrist. His staff is embarrassed.

I will never purchase anything from this office again! I had to call my insurance to file a grievance against this provider. I went to this office on the 27th of january with my prescription to pick out a pair of frames. I gave them all the necessary information. They told me it would take 7 – 10 business days for them to arrive. I later called and spoke with the optician and asked whether they could be mailed to my address in NY. It is the 24th of February and I still don’t have my glasses! They kept telling me that they sent to the NY address when I know that they didn’t. These people are very unprofessional and rude. They reordered the glasses for me because I have warranty on the lenses. They called me when it arrived in the office, something they didn’t do the first time. I called and the optician said that she would not send them through the post again that I have to make arrangements to have them picked up and I have to pay for them to be sent through ups. My main complaint with them is that they lied to me. I asked if they could sent it to NY, if that was something they could not do they should have informed me from the beginning. Who has the right to be upset? Me or them? Im the one who’s been suffering without my glasses and they have the audacity to get upset that I want my money back! I found a website called zenniopticals where i can get frames for dirt cheap and thats the route I’m going. I’m sure it won’t take as long to receive them and when I give my address they won’t send it to another address and lie about it to me when I tell them I never received them.

It is a rude place, my doctor is Labove, she speaks very little, after I told her that I want to get a Rigid gas permeable lens, she told me that I would hate them, but she would still get me a pair if I want. I insisted and was told that I have to pay $ 75 for eye exam and $ 125 for contact fitting fee. After I paid all of these, she told me that I will not get a prescription even after I get my contact lenses, which means I have to buy lenses from her from now on! It is absurd! Patients have the rights to get their prescription, I may move to other places and my future doctor may needs to know my previous data! The cold assistant told me that I can talk to their office manager about this, but she only told me that their office manager would contact me when she is available, I have no way to contact her.
