Decent coffee shop and cigar store. Had a chai tea latte that was alright and an Acid Blondie which I appreciated get much. Good place to hang out with friends; also, it’s BYOB so keep that in mind! The indoors décor is along the lines of «your one dorky uncle’s garage,» packed with a variety of vintage items and Hawaiian shirts. The smell of cigars is rather overpowering — I wish they had a better air ventilation system; after I left the establishment, the smoke smell was still very strong on my clothes. Otherwise, it’s a chill place to hang out(definitely don’t study here).

Leaf and Bean is such a fun place. From all the eclectic junk on the walls, to their well stocked humidor, they have it all covered. And great coffee, too. I went to Leaf & Bean to grab a quick cup of iced coffee on a Sunday morning with my friend, Whitney. They were slower than usual, I think because their sign that’s usually displayed on Penn Avenue wasn’t out. Still, the fine gentleman who’s always working, was happy to make my coffee, and help me with a cigar purchase. He also educated me on a few of the other cigars that I didn’t specifically come in for, but I was glad to learn about. They carry several name brand cigars, Ashton to Tortuga Reserva, and everything in between. They also have their own line, of more budget friendly cigars. This time, same as the last, the fine gentleman suggested their brand, but I was on the hunt for something special. For $ 20, I got away with a «very» good Cohiba, and a giant sized iced coffee. Can’t beat that. This place is considerably more classy than Blume in the South Side. I highly recommend, as long as you are okay with the mild smell of Cigars.

This place is super chill and good atmosphere. Selection of cigars are solid and above average and the folks are spot on with recommendations if you have any particular tastes for food or drink. Coffee is also solid. Great people watching the place as well.

This is one of the most unique coffee shops in the Burgh! As the name states– they specialize in leaf(tobacco) and beans(coffee) =]. The mood of this place is unlike any other place on the strip! It has almost an island feel to it, from the lighting, the décor and the employees themselves, they have always been chill and friendly every time I have gone. The first time my boyfriend and I checked this place out, he was looking for a cigar to buy for his friend’s wedding. They had a huge selection that ranged in prices and quality. The staff was very knowledgeable and assisted him in finding the perfect cigar for his friend. He ordered a coffee and was in love. We return every time we are in the strip now! We stopped by once on a gorgeous day, ordered iced tea and coffee and decided to try out a cigar. My boyfriend got a blondie, which I tried and didn’t mind. It had a light flavor– which was good for someone like me who doesn’t smoke, let alone smoke cigars. They have live music on the weekends– making it an awesome hang out spot. We sat out on the patio, listened to music and enjoyed the beautiful day. Having said that, the cigar smell is extremely pungent and the place is usually loud– making it a not ideal place for people who come to coffee shops to work or study. Think of it as more of a hangout spot and you won’t be disappointed. As far as their drinks go, I have had their apple cider, hot tea and cold tea. Their apple cider was nothing special, neither was their hot tea. But I did enjoy their iced cold tea. My boyfriend on the other hand, ADORES their medium roast coffee. We even buy ½ pounds of it to go now, so we can brew it at home. Before posting this, I saw that it’s BYOB– which is awesome! I might consider coming here later on in the evening now.

Great place in the strip district on 22nd st. They sell coffee and cigars and it’s a BYOB place. People bring in beer, whiskey, wine, etc, but they also have a cooler with soft drinks for sale. On Saturdays, they have live music which is usually an acoustic performer or a small band. It’s VERY smoky, but that’s to be expected from a cigar bar. The lattes are excellent and they have a big walk in humidor with cigars for purchase or you can bring your own. In the summer, they open a big garage type door and they have outdoor seating. The place is covered with antiques and cool signs on the wall and ceiling and they have almost a tropical theme, but not overwhelming. There’s plenty of seating(old barber chairs in the very back), a couple TVs, and they have all the supplies you would need for cigars — lighters, matches, cutters, lighter fluid, ash trays. The staff there is very friendly.

This place is awesome. Friendly people, Caribbean atmosphere, great selection of cigars, and it’s BYOB! There is also live music every Saturday between noon and 3. If you are in the Strip, you have to check it out.

This is another great place to grab a cigar and a fresh coffee. Eclectic décor and a good selection of cigars. The atmosphere is always pleasant and laid back. This is a BYPB establishment but they have soft drinks for sale. Definitely a great place to stop by after a nice lunch in the strip.

Cool for what it is — cigars, beer, coffee, and live music. Very chill vibe and bar staff seem witty and relaxed. Crowd is middle-aged slightly-ruffian and seem to know the fringe acts that make their way thru. Fun place, but unless you want two lungs full of cigar smoke, head somewhere else on this wonderful strip.

Super chill, laid back cigar joint that is byob. Can’t get much better than that! I am looking forward to going back when the weather warms up and I can sit outside. Typically I am not a cigar smoker or smoker of any sorts but I did try a vanilla blend cigar and it was ok. For a first timer, it was cool-but I doubt I’ll be smoking cigars much if at all, so I’m glad I got to check out the place. Lots of cool stuff on the walls inside as well. Staff was very accommodating and explained everything without making you feel like a first timer.

Walking into this place is like walking into a friends garage, with great cigars and coffee, and usually people with a home brew or craft beer, and a few handles of good liquor — I absolutely love this place; It’s one of my all-time favorites. It is called LEAF and bean, so yes, it is a cigar shop, if you don’t like cigar smoke, it might not be the place for you. That being said, they usually have the front opened up, so you will not be fumigated. I love this place for several reasons: Their cigars are awesome, and they have a great variety. They have anything from bold to mild, and flavored. Their house cigars are great, they’re made in Honduras; my favorite is the Connecticut. Their coffee is great. I usually get a chai latte iced or hot, with a Leaf & Bean Connecticut or a chocolate mint flavored cigar. The environment is relaxed and casual. There are always the regulars you’ll see pretty much every time, and they’re always welcoming to new people. Pretty much every time I go, I’m offered some type of beer or pizza, lol. The people working there are always friendly, and answer the phone with, «Leaf & Bean, coolest place on the strip…» …agreed. They are known to stay open past«business hours» as long as people are there and having fun. Overall, this place is a perfect place to kick back and hang out with some friends, a date, or alone… You’ll make new ones here.

This is an eclectic mixture of a TGIFridays and a Cigar lounge. There are all kinds of crazy interesting things hanging all over the the walls, ceiling and floor.(Not unlike a TGIFridays) I especially loved the Motorcycle hanging from the ceiling and the claw foot bath tub. They have a nice-sized humidor and even have their own house brand cigars. I found an awesome article about them in THECIGARLOUNGER magazine. It is a FREE on line magazine that you can read ONLINE, on your IPAD or IPHONE. This place is truly a destination!

I don’t smoke cigars but I hang out in humidors a fair amount with my hubby while he’s making his selections & certainly appreciate the aroma of a good cigar both inside a humidor & after he fires one up. In fact the aroma of a good cigar typically accompanies an afternoon beer on our front porch. The atmosphere at Leaf & Bean in the Strip is super cool. You feel like you just wandered down the street in Belize or Nicaragua & found this place with a bunch of locals sitting around enjoying some fine hand rolled cigars. Open air & a definite Caribbean vibe. The owners wife gave us a super introduction to the great stuff in the humidor and turned us on to the 1502s they carry from Nicaragua. Turns out 1502 is the year Columbus bumped into Nicaragua after he’d discovered America. The cigar manufacturer happened to be in the shop and she kindly introduced us after my guy purchased some to try. Very cool! The selection isn’t as extensive as some other places we’ve been but the atmosphere is awesome. Leaf & Bean has been added as a must do to any Strip District strolls & if we happen to stroll in some morning, we’ll check out their coffee!

It’s name is leaf and bean, NOT bean and leaf so if you are looking for a place to have coffee, understand this is primarily a smoke shop. If smoke offends you don’t come here. If you want a coffee to enjoy with your cigar, then you’ve hit the jackpot. I enjoy a good cigar and appreciate the novelty and cavalier atmosphere of the place. Sort of a Key West feel(or a third world Caribbean country) without the beach. Big difference I know. But the unique assortment of cigars available nowhere else in the Burgh make it a legit destination. And the outdoor seating encourages you to light up, sit on the sidewalk and enjoy some of the Strip district sights! Plus, you can walk around the corner and grab a few raw oysters at Luke’s and make a day of it!

This is an interesting little cigar & coffee shop, which is relatively rare. Typically, cigars meet whiskey and not coffee. We stopped here on a walk through the strip district to check it out and have a cigar. From the outside, the location doesn’t seem extremely appealing. They have a variety of mix and match lawn furniture outside and the inside is similar with a very«thrown together» look with a variety of furniture and signs around the inside. However, with the thrown together décor, it’s what I’d expect visiting a similar place in Cuba, which is what I expect they are aiming for. If the day is nice, they have the business’ front open to the fresh air of the street. Their humidor, located at the back right of the establishment isn’t the best by the standards of many of the cigar shops I’ve visited in the past. However, they do have a rich selection and several top rated cigars to choose from. Cutters and matches are available throughout the store for you to cut and light your newly purchased cigar to smoke on location. I also sampled their coffee that was regularly available to their customers, it wasn’t as bold as I would have expected for a coffee shop. The cigars are the largest part of the appeal for this business!

This place would probably be a haven for you if you enjoy smoking cigars. I, on the other hand, do not. Sorry for you peeps who enjoy a little puff on the stogie. But if you’re like me, and you want to chill out at a coffee shop, do work there or just run in to get your coffee — or in my case — tea fix, it’s not the place for you. Heck, even if you only run in, you run out smelling like you’ve smoked a thousand cigars, when you haven’t even glanced at one in there. I went in once and it was enough for me to decide this wasn’t the place for me. I couldn’t even tell you what my tea was like because I knew I’d never be back. I’ll hop down to 21st Street Coffee where it’s more my speed. I could totally see someone loving this place if they were a cigar smoker.
