I’d give 0 stars if I could. I went for a consult, which was actually just a sales pitch. They didn’t even look at the areas I wanted done. They didn’t do a test spot and never even checked to see if I was a good candidate! Just sat me down and started talking about packages. And you have to sign up for 8 or 9 sessions (can’t remember the exact number on the contract). What if I don’t need that many? I asked about paying per session so I could stop at my time but they don’t work that way. So because of the number of sessions, even with the «package deal» it was still outrageously expensive. And what about my safety? No concern of that as long as I signed on the dotted line. I found a great place — that is not a chain — with a qualified and experienced technician. She checked out my legs and did a test area. And I can go session by session so I don’t have to commit, i. e. Pay for, sessions I don’t need. Highly recommend Dr Happel laser center (Washington Rd, Pittsburgh).

All of the staff are very polite and professional. The appointments are quick. About 20 minutes. Services are really expensive. I am $ 2700 deep so far. I have had 4 sessions with no results yet. I am commited to 9 sessions so we will see what happens. I am hairless in between sessions but no permanent results yet. Very very hard to reschedule appointments. Wish me luck.

As a good Italian descendant I grow hair in places I’d frankly rather not — mainly my upper lip. Since I was 12 I’ve been «dealing» with this hair sometimes on a regular basis like I should and sometimes I ignore it and avoid looking at my face too much. I’ve thought about laser hair removal a lot and it’s always something I wanted to do so I never had to deal with creams or wax again. So I started hearing radio ads (yes I listen to the radio — I love it) for the new Ideal Images which were coming to Pittsburgh and the grand opening specials they were having. So I did something I don’t normally do and actually took some action and set up a consultation. Even before the appointment they were great checking in and sending me emails (because I chose that as my preferred method of communication). Once I got there everything is very clean, well put together, and friendly. The first meeting went well, everything was explained and checks were made to make sure I was a good candidate. Then we talked about price and there was no pressure. I made my decision to have 2 areas done (upper lip and underarms) and I waited for the laser to be open and then had my first session!
This is one of the coolest decisions I’ve made from August 14^th until session 2 which was October 2^nd I shaved my underarms for 2 weeks. I totally recommend it and I love the results so far! Everyone in the office is great and it is turning into a situation where I sit down and update them on my life and can’t wait to go back again!
