Solid sports bar. So solid, in fact, that I’m hesitant to review it since I haven’t seen it packed yet… and I’d like for it to stay that way. Decent beers, cheap pictures, good service, never too crowded, darts, lots of games on. That’s a win in my book. There were so many TVs with so many different games on to make this a fantastic spot for a doubleheader. Example: I figured this would be a great spot to watch the Panthers games this weekend, and I checked my email later in the day only to find out that the Young Alumni Council already had the idea for Stack’d(the name of the downstairs joint where you enter) to host this. Score.

The Fieldhouse is a sports bar located above what used to be the Pittsburgh Deli Company and is now Stacked burgers. The place is loud, with a huge bar and lots of TVs. The giant booths had individual TVs too, which is pretty awesome. I went with some friends on a Friday night and was happy with our $ 6 pitcher of Yuengling. Bar service was good. Most people were drinking beer or sharing a drink out of a giant fishbowl. We sat for awhile until the foosball table opened up and ended up having a great time playing. They also have bubble hockey and darts. It’s definitely a college crowd, but I think it’s a far better atmosphere than the other similar bars on Walnut. I would head back to watch a game or try one of those mysterious giant drinks.
