Duffy’s Pop & Beer Warehouse

Absolutely rude staff. «Service» people act as tho they cannot be bothered and literally walk away while you are asking a question. Suits the purpose of holding beer until you buy it as any other beer distributer would. Nothing special. If there was another option slightly out of way or even slightly more expensive. I would pay the extra time and money every time.

Ill add a star since my last review. Why you ask? Plain and simple. Theyre not greedy and try to sell old beer at retail price. They always have a few beers in the clearance section at tremendous prices. I once bought three cases of Left Hand Milk Stout for $ 50.00! You do the math

I can’t say enough good things about Duffy’s Beer & Pop. It’s arguably the largest beer distributor in Western Pennsylvania carrying the most extensive variety of beer for the very best price. And if the brand that you want is not currently in stock, they can usually order it and have it for you within a couple of days. That goes for cases as well as kegs.
But that’s not all! They have a wide variety of soda, snacks and partyware making it your complete one-​stop shop for your next event or gathering. You just can’t go wrong with Duffy’s.
And it doesn’t stop there; Duffy’s has a complete line of equipment and ingredients to satisfy both the novice and most serious beer and wine homebrewer. The yeast is always fresh and they can crack your grains on site.
Now that the vaping has become all the rage for those that want to smoke but don’t really want to smoke, there’s a separate department dedicated to vapeware as well.
As if offering beer, soda, snacks, homebrew supplies, vapeware, etc at a rock bottom price isn’t enough, its really the friendly customer service that makes Duffy’s special and stand out from the crowd. There’s plenty of parking available and if you need help getting your case or keg to your car, one of Duffy’s friendly staff will be happy to offer assistance.
Can you tell that I’m a fan? You bet I am! And if you like beer and entertaining as much as I do you, you’ll make Duffy’s your «go to» stop too.

I don’t drink beer, but this review should be useful to others like me.
First of all, just because I don’t drink it doesn’t mean I don’t have to buy it for when I entertain. And I am always (repeat ALWAYS) happy to come to Duffy’s. Why?
1. They have a ridiculous selection. I’m not a beer afficionado, but I don’t have any friends who are avid beer drinkers who can’t get what they want here. Aisles upon aisles of beer. Craft beers, imports, regular football season beer… even an Olde English if you want to make yourself a true Brass Monkey.
2. They have a great selection of… ROOT BEER. Now this is what I come for. Sure, my name is Hank, so I might be a bit biased here, but they stock Hank’s Root Beer here, and I don’t care what Virgil says about his root beer, Hank’s got him beat. It’s a root beer out of Philly, and they make four drinks of which I am familiar: Hank’s Root Beer, Hank’s Vanilla Cream Soda, Hank’s Orange Cream Soda, and Hank’s Wishniak Black Cherry Soda. The root beer is divine, the vanilla cream soda is also second to none. I don’t like the orange cream soda. But the Black Cherry is also a distinctly good soda with a real black cherry (not artificial) flavor.
But aside from Hanks, they carry Sprecher’s, which is another quality root beer out of Wisconsin. When I used to live in Milwaukee, I would get Sprecher on tap out there. It’s bottled, obviously, here, but it’s a very good root beer I’d recommend. They also carry IBC and Stewart’s, although those are common, and of course they carry the other standard sodas that you can pick up anywhere.
3. They have a great… chips and candy selection. No seriously. If you ever feel the need to make yourself a piñata, buy your candy at Duffy’s. I buy caramel apple pops there.
Finally, they special order things they don’t stock. For example, they always stock the Hank’s Root Beer, but have been testing the market for the Orange and Vanilla Crème sodas. I got them to get me a special order case of the black cherry along with a case of Vanilla and Root Beer.

Though this place has no air conditioning and a bit cluttered, it was cluttered with beer… and that’s always a good thing. From local to foreign; craft beers to name brand, they pretty much have everything you’re looking for in PA.
Rich and I went in to get a sampler case for the house. The prices seemed reasonable and they had a wide selection of sampler cases there — I was pleasantly surprised! We left with a case of Smuttynose which I’m looking forward to consuming over the next month or so.
The only unfortunate thing is that this place only sells cases. It’s state law out here — cases only, unless you’re at a bottle shop (I hope this changes soon). Now if they’d only put in some sort of cooling system, I could go in and grab my beer without sweating in the summer heat :)

My family has been frequenting Duffy’s for as long as I can remember. The selection is extensive on both pop and beer, and they also have a variety of snacks (some of which you can’t find just anywhere like good olé Candy Cigarettes). A trip to Duffy’s is always a necessity when family comes to town, especially since it’s right next door to Pat Catan’s, another family favorite.
I’ve never gone to the trouble to compare prices, since the only other place to buy beer in West Mifflin is Giant Eagle and that’s really not a fair comparison to this type of place. I do find the prices for the lady drink options slightly higher to what I was used to paying in New York, but for all I know they are good for the Pittsburgh region.

The selection here is great, but I have had some terrible service while checking out. Not bad enough to keep me away, but going to check out really ruins the experience. Regardless, the place is huge and they’ve got micros, imports, kegs, etc.
