Oh YAY a walkable alternative to Shadyside’s insanely hectic grocery options. They have a little of everything standard. Nice dudes, too. I don’t shop for more than one thing @ a time… ever…, so it was perfect for finding pepper flakes, baking soda, and veggies. Sweet.

Fabulous. Makes our neighborhood so much nicer. I love the organic eggs and produce and milk and everything else. Plus they make great sandwiches.

This is a great place to have nearby. They have boars head deli meat, which is just the best. I haven’t tried the sandwiches yet, but plan on it. It is very convenient and has all the right food necessities for a quick run to the store.

I love the produce section here! You’d think that a small place like this wouldn’t have the greatest produce, but they definitely have fresh and not to mention super cheap produce. I live just a couple blocks away, and I’m so grateful to have this little shop in my neighborhood. Also, the first time I went there, they hid a soft pretzel in my bag of honeycrisp apples, which was an awesome surprise when I got home. Thanks, BSM! :)

This place is fantastic. The perfect place to grab essentials, and then some! Several years ago when I lived here this place struck me as dicy. I don’t know what it was at the time — possibly that Bryant Street was relatively bereft of active storefronts, maybe the one time when I went in and got a weird vibe from the clientele in the parking lot, maybe I was just new to the city and not in tune with the neighborhood yet. Whatever the reason, I have come to like this place. It is a small grocery store, with all the essentials. They have pretty average prices on most things, but produce and fresh stuff is a steal. My girlfriend stopped in recently and got more Honey Crisp Apples than I’ve ever seen for $ 3 and change. Also, they dropped in a free soft pretzel for her. Did you hear that? THEYHAVESOFTPRETZELS.(i have a personal quest to find the best soft pretzel in the world. These aren’t bad at all!) I’ve also stopped in here before to grab a copy of the Post-Gazette. Something about holding that physical copy on a Saturday morning when you have nothing else to do is really relaxing and satisfying. My only word of warning is that there is a minimum on Credit Card purchases. I cannot blame them for this as they get charged a transaction fee for each, and being a small local operation they need to keep an eye on their bottom line. Just don’t expect to walk in and buy a half-dozen eggs with plastic. Check them out!

I live right around the corner. In the area is Whole Foods, Super Target, Trader Joe’s, and Giant Eagle Market District. While I do most of my shopping elsewhere, this place is great for it’s purpose: get in and get out for quick items. They have produce, many organic canned items, snack foods, delicious house-made treats(says my lady), a freezer section with some typical stuff but also meatless/vegan items, and a slew of other things. It’s definitely worth checking out. They’ll have your typical brand and then next to the organic variety. Very unique. I’ll add that typically with small groceries I find the produce is bad or near bad, this stuff is pretty darn fresh. They’re also very friendly and helpful.

Bryant Street Market is a compact but surprisingly well-stocked grocery store located in the heart of Highland Park’s small but suddenly fast-growing business district. In addition to having everything you’d expect from the proverbial corner store(boxes of mac n cheese, pints of ice cream), Bryant Street Market also stocks many healthier, fancier options(boxes of organic mac n cheese, pints of locally-made gelato). I was excited because I scored some Maruchan brand ramen noodles there, something I had been unable to do at a handful of Giant Eagle locations, or the nearby Target, all of which only carry the incredibly-misleading brand name Top Ramen. Bryant Street Market really has almost everything you could want or need — a wide variety of snacks and treats, an array of baking and cooking essentials, a full dairy case(with local farm-fresh eggs), organic fruits and vegetables, and a deli counter. The staff is pleasant and attentive. If you live in or around the Highland Park neighborhood, definitely give this place a visit.

My family used to stop at this market all of the time — back when it was even a CoGo’s market. Recently, we stopped in to pick up some beverages and snacks. We were pleased to find that it’s actually got a little deli in it as well, with really awesome sandwiches! If you happen to live in the neighborhood, you should not be quick to dismiss the freshly prepared foods that they offer. Otherwise, it’s your typical neighborhood convenience store — featuring cat food, razors, bread, milk, laundry detergent — you know, all of those things you don’t want to have to find yourself running all the way to Giant Eagle to purchase. You can purchase with debit or credit, but the minimum purchase is $ 10.
