I’m reviewing a retirement home… in my «early» twenties.
It’s not her beloved South, and she may be «stuck up here with all the Yankees,» but as far as retirement communities go, Asbury is very nice. The apartments are nicely appointed but still leave space for her antiques, and the staff is helpful and professional but still playful and friendly. They organize shopping and movie trips, have a lovely library and sitting area, and the dining hall is equally nice.
No golf course, but hey, she spent 30 years in Florida and never played once.
