Yep, went back. Same old dusty pieces with the same sky high prices. It just boggles the mind that they would hang onto pieces rather than marking them at market prices.

I guess this place has been open for awhile but its been a long time since I’ve driven this stretch of ORB. Parking situation isn’t ideal but it’s worthy of an occasional visit especially if you’re in the market for some furniture. Vintage stuff is after all more interesting than anything at Macy’s or Crate & Barrel and it will probably last longer. Some prices were more reasonable than others so it’s your run of the mill antique outlet in that sense.

Wow, what a gem! My work travels take me all around the country. In each city I make it a point to check out the local antique stores. I almost made the mistake of driving by thinking it was too small a shop. It is jam packed with a diverse treasure trove and much bigger than it looks from the street. The owners, Joyce and Bob are just great. Very friendly and a wealth of information. Great knowledge and interesting stories. I spent about an hour in the shop talking with them about some very interesting pieces. I even found a couple of great fountain pens that I haven’t seen before. When I return to Pittsburgh next month, this shop will be my first stop.

The proprietor is VERY pushy and a little bit creepy. He followed my friend and I around the store asking personal questions even after we tried to politely stop the third-degree. We left after looking after only looking at two rooms because of this. The store does have some nice vintage items like foo dogs, deco sketches, Hollywood Rengency knicknacks, arts & crafts cabinets, etc., but I did not see any actual antiques. Plus everything was extremely overpriced. I’d rather take a chance on eBay than spend three to four times the value. Check out the Antique Mall nearby on Ohio River Boulevard for much better prices.
