How do I sum up shopping at Aldi’s? Well for starters I can get fresh produce, cheese, eggs, bread, meat, other household products and the list goes on and on, while spending a fraction of what I would at other grocery stores. So I am a fan, a huge one at that. I guess the only negative about Aldi’s, in my opinion, is also one of the positives things about Aldi’s, in my opinion. They often have some great products that I fall in love with, like some gourmet cheese, or some champagne vinegar salad dressing. But when I come back these items are nowhere to be found so that’s the positive and the negative. Also they tend to run out of things that I need like Artisan Lettuce or red onions forcing me to go elsewhere. Just the other day they had no shredded cheese. I mean none! Ugh not cool I was shopping to make Mac n cheese. Well fortunately they had plenty of block cheese and I just had to shred it on my own. I know some people hate the whole bring your own bags, and use a quarter to get a shopping cart but to me this is just smart business procedures. Keep your overhead low and pass on the savings to your customers. Despite some small drawbacks of shopping here I will be a customer for life.

I could have sworn I wrote a review for this place already, but alas I did not. I love Aldi, I love it a lot. There is no difference in set up from store to store. There are exactly alike. The product is no different either, same stuff, just a different location. This is your typical experience at an Aldi. Pleasant, clean, efficient. I really can’t say much else.

Aldi’s is a great store for fast, cheap and simple shopping. They have few aisle but pack alot of the essentials. I enjoy that they place all the snacks and junk in the front of the store because that means ill usually pass them up on my way to get the items i really need. The milk cheese and butter products are all against the back wall. The have half an aisle for fruits and vegetables. It’s just a small amount so nothing to exotic like mangoes or avocados. Just your run of the mill apples, pears, bananas, green peppers, potato, onions… things like that. Most of the food is knock off name brand but it doesn’t taste as bad as some other knock offs. I enjoy their cheese and bread products. Plus the frozen meat section is good as well. I always shop here for my freezer and storage bags as they are alot cheaper than hefty or glad brand but they work just as well. The store usually isn’t crowded until about 4 to 6, those are the usual just getting off work hours. They charge you for the shopping carts and bags though. That’s the only downside. you put a quarter in to get the shopping carts and after you return the cart you receive the quarter back. It’s like a deposit of sorts. The paper bags are 5 cents and the plastic ones are 10 cents. I guess they charge for the bags because the groceries themselves are so cheap. Plus, after a while of spending money on bags you start to bring your own. It’s a good way to recycle too. I tend to empty on of the chip boxes as soon as i walk in. This helps me avoid paying for the extra bags. One of the best things about ALdi’s is that it caters to the life of a single person as well as to a couple or a small family. I can just run in grab what i need without worrying about longlines or being bombarded with one thousand options. I don’t like to waste alot of time in the grocery store especially if i just need some milk or napkins so Aldi’s helps me to get in and out with little fuss. The cashiers are very speedy so they work to get people along their way ASAP. I look forward to them expanding their produce and fresh meats section but ill settle for the newly organic items that they recently started to stalk. I love me some organic food :)

Aldi and Bottom Dollar are like long lost siblings. Both are discount grocery stores were you bring your own bags and bag your own groceries. At Aldi you need a quarter to get a shopping cart that is returned once you return the cart. They both offer some name brand items and some generic brand items which are the same quality and tastes as their name brand conterparts. This location is about half the size of my local Bottom Dollar but, it’s very close to my house so this is usually my go to store when I need a few items but, don’t need to do major grocery shopping. They offer produce, seasonings, spices, cereals, fruit juices, milk, packaged meats, seafood and cheeses, a decent frozen food section, different kinds of bread, household items and much more. The employees are always pleasant and helpful also. While ALDI isn’t as large as a Bottom Dollar, they do carry a lot of the same types of items. If you can’t find it at ALDI, you can most likely find it at Bottom Dollar.
