Their señorita bread is the bomb, brings back memory of home. My mom used to have a bakery and waking up to the smell of señorita bread is the best. Their ham and cheese bread and the others are good too. Just depends of what you’re in the mood for.

Went in for a few lumpia. They only had two left so I bought them. She’s the lady if she could warm then up for me and she refused. Ststed they would become soggy… I told her they warm then up for me all of the time. She still refused. What kind of customer service is that?! None I’m afraid. I fill-in the lumpia honey and heated them up myself, they came out crispy and not soggy. I’ll never go to that Starbread again.

If you haven’t tried this very delectable piece of heaven, you are definitely missing out. Came by this morning to grab a few of the señorita bread straight from the oven. This is a well known bakery that specializes in a Filipino delicacy called the señorita bread which is the«star» of this establishment. I tasted my very first starbread in Vallejo almost more than 10 years ago at their very first location I believe in good ol Vallejo. They have opened up shop in several Bay Area cities, and this review pertains to the Pittsburg location. A bite into the sweet bread roll and it melts instantly in your mouth. It’s filled with just the right amount of their secret concoction of a butter and sugar spread. Great to have in the morning or snack anytime of the day. PROs: opens early at 7AM, they also carry other items such as leche flan, cupcakes, pastries, and I even saw some lumpia sold by the piece CONs: not much too say here, their selection is solely focused on the señorita bread and there is not a wide variety of goods to choose from, but hey, you just need the señorita bread and you’re good to go

MMMMM … Señorita Bread … Starbread bakery is a small, unassuming little bake shop located in the same strip mall as Country Skillets. I came here specifically looking for hot and fresh señorita bread to take over to my grandmas. I ordered a box of 15 little senoritas and two croissants — 1 chocolate and 1 cheese. I made sure to ask the gal packaging my baked goods to pick the«lightest» little senoritas she could find. The sweet little breads were delicious(5 stars for sure!) … hot, soft, light, and yet so heavy in their buttery glaze. The croissants were anything but special. Didn’t taste fresh made, but heating them up in the Cuisinart made them a palatable treat to dip into coffee or tea. Looking forward to trying the Lumpia next time!

Love it! I just wonder why sometimes the batch is different! I feel like when I get the señorita bread with the bubbly crust it’s more dry and seems over baked. But still amazing. I wonder if it different bakers or the weather outside. Who knows! I’ll try to post a picture because today’s batch was amazing and the whole house agreed!

Found this hidden gem on a random day. I am so happy starbread is in my area! I’ve been driving out to concord just to get my Filipino fix. The señorita bread is smaller than what I usually get, but I am not complaining. The bread here is fresh and HOT! I usually come here when my family is in town.

I don’t know exactly what this stuff is, but it’s totally replaced a lifetime of donut addiction. It’s a warm, buttery, soft sweet bread of some sort that they bring out from behind the magic curtain. It’s SO good. Here I am again… I’m going in!

Finally!!! A Starbread closer to me… Actually, it’s been great going to Valerios in Concord because I’m not as tempted to indulge… So I end up visiting for Señorita bread less than once a month. But with Starbread so close and fresh Señorita breads… the crackin has been released! Like other Unilocalers, I wish they were open earlier so I can share the deliciousness with work. REQUESTSTOSTARBREAD: Earlier service hours, Señorita Bread with Ube(Yumms), FATFREE Señorita Bread(So I can eat more of it with less guilt)… Just sayin…

Dear Starbread, You are absolutely delicious. I wish you were open sometimes at 6am so that I could bring a box of you to my work. But it’s okay. I consider you my sweet treat when I’m allotted to have an exorbitant amount of calories for the day.

Starbread Bakery and the hype and buzz it caused all over Unilocal and just my friends outside of Unilocaling, is it all worth it in my opinion? Yes and No, I will tell you why… I’ve done some research into Starbread Bakery and the oh so famous«Seniorita Bread» that seems to be the«Star» attraction here(Pun Intended) and I been careful to read and look at comments from some of the various locations(Vallejo, San Pablo, Sac) just to see if the reviews and ratings all were similar and It seemed to have pretty great reviews all around. Now here is mine to add to this Pittsburg location. And it starts like this… Got off work, and wanted a nice morning snack besides the usual doughnut shop or fast food pickup. Starbread Bakery has been on my radar for a few weeks now, I live in Pittsburg, it’s nice living near somewhere that has a lot of good buzz and street creed on and off the blogs and review sites. Before I tried anything else here I wanted to try the signature item they’re known for. Lucky for me I got in at a great time, around 7:15 or so, they open @ 7pm so my bread was piping hot, in fact I had to wait about 2 minutes to get my order. Being it my first time here I went with the 10 Seniorita Breads for 4 $. I been anxious for a while now to get my paws on these things and sink my teeth into them. I didn’t make it out the door before already finishing one of them. Was it love at first buttery, sweet bite… No, no fireworks here. I know it’s early and I possibly had the first or second batch, but my experience wasn’t a let down, it just didn’t boil me over. I can say though, I see the appeal with these things, they look harmless, but in the wrong hands these can be dangerous indeed. My Seniorita Bread seemed a bit. doughy, like the sweet glaze or sweet butter syrup they use is pretty good and compliments these things I’m sure a lot more if it’s cooked all the way through, but then again idk if that’s the consistency they’re supposed to have??? Like I want to really go again and hope to change my review if I feel my experience there was better than this one. They have other items I’m interested in from what I seen on other pictures and reviews. So for now my review and rating I feel reflects this time and like I said I do plan to visit again. Maybe perhaps go in a little later when they have some of the other items prepared. In closing, try this place out and see if you like it, everyone’s palette is different. If you like it, Unilocal it! Even if you don’t, Unilocal It.

Being a big fan of señoritas, I was quite happy to have Starbread Bakery open near me. Walking into the bakery, the delightful smell of baking breads permeating the air will whet your appetite. The señoritas are warm when you order them. They are soft and tasty and everything you would want from a señorita. However, I feel like there is a bit of quality inconsistency. Our first visit yielded perfect señoritas, but the second time around, they were slightly undercooked. I am willing to chalk it up to their being relatively new, though. They also have other Filipino goodies such as turon, hopia, banana cue, etc. Located in a nondescript strip mall, Starbread Bakery is a truly great find!

Oh, the cravings for Señorita Bread had me driving far and beyond financial cushion. When I found out that one just opened less than a mile away from my place, I jumped in my car… and then realized I went too early in the morning. I was able to get my fix. Just like the other locations, the bread was hot n ready quicker than you can say Little Caesar’s Pizza. I have yet tried any other items at a Star Bread bakery, but I’m sure they are just as good.

Finally they have one here! This place is known for their freshly baked little señorita bread! They are perfectly baked! Soft, sweet, and chewy! They are very addicting… Next thing u know u end up eating more than half of the box! They are still good the next day. Put it in the microwave for 15 secs or toast for 2 minutes if you want a little crunch to it :) They sell other pastries as well as snacks! Check them out!
