Pittsburg Funeral Chapel

I lost my mother, last month. She was only 38. Not only was Pittsburg Funeral Chapel extremely helpful, but they were also sensitive to the subject. Daya, who is absolutely amazing, called and updated me as much as possible, regarding my mother’s funeral, remains, as well as her death certificate. They made planning a funeral easier than I thought it’d be. I will forever be thankful for this place!

My family lost both my grandfather and grandmother 41 days from each other. We held both viewings at Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. Staff were very helpful and welcoming in this difficult time. They allowed us to set up a table with food and beverages outside for the family and friends who came to the viewings.

We dealt with 2 different workers & one of them were really kind & understanding, the other not do much. My gma’s viewing was from 4 – 8 pm & it ran an hour over & they didn’t rush us or out & were very understanding. They were also very kind when discussing sensitive issues with my mom & aunt. The 4 stars were for that employee.
The other employee wasn’t as understanding. When I asked him for extra funeral stickers for the cars he replied with «you only need enough for the cars who follow the hurst, cause of we give you extra, people might use it & take off.» mind you we had a turn out of a few hundred people, & when we initially got the stickers he was even hesitant to give us any, my aunt had to ask for more, he have us a total of 11 for a couple hundred people. When we arrived at the cemetery the priest said a few words & the same guy approached my aunt & said «you guys should go now, because if you don’t then people will end up staying longer here.» wtf? That was so rude! Mind you we were only at the gravesite for about 10 – 15 mins, this was our final farewell to our grandmother, how could you rush something like that? So really all the stars are for the other employee only because he was so understanding, accommodating & sensitive to my mom & aunt.

They helped me with the cremation of my wife. I found them very sensitive and dignified, and also very fair as to the price for their services. They have a nice facility for funerals, although we did not do that with them. I would have given them 5 stars, but it’s hard to be enthusiastic about a funeral service.
