Like… I don’t even know what just happened… I mean… I just experienced the best Filipino food in the area and I can not wait to go back for more. Let’s me just start off by saying that this restaurant is small over all but very warm and welcoming when you walk in. I felt like the dishes I got were made here at my home, that’s how«home cooked» it all tasted. I got the chicken and veggies with glass noodles, marinated beef that came with two scoops of white rice, egg and a sauce. Chicken lumpia ALL three items beyond delicious. my guests and I were very satisfied. The price is right and if you order ahead of time that’s a major plus. I walked in and ordered — over it took about 15 minutes. Well worth it! I recommend.

Now let me start by saying that I know nothing beats your mom or Lola’s home cooking. With that being said, this place leaves me wondering if they eat their own food. Cuz omg is this place bland central station. No seriously, there’s no flavor to anything… I know people always write in their reviews things like«I tried to like this place,» «I wanted to like them, I really did!» Or «I’ve gave them a few tries.» Now I’ve gave them more than a few tries, for years now since they’ve opened, & they disappoint every single time! I once ordered a tray of pancit for a Fam function. Have you ever been to a Filipino party that hasn’t ran out of lumpia & pancit?!? No, never. Those are always the first to go, well let’s say the pancit was a huge miss & was barely touched. Today I ordered the pancit palabok & bangsilog. Bangsilog was bland, to be expected, so naturally I just doused it in spicy vinegar. But the palabok, maaaan… I felt like I was eating the noodle by itself, just straight up noodle. Was super disappointed that it also came with one single tiny ass shrimp in the whole order. & a small single sliver of lemon, like… tf??? Foreal? That’s all i get for this bland noodle? One tiny piece of a lemon? So yeah, I had to go home & cut up pretty much an entire lemon so that I can attempt to eat my dry ass, bland noodle. Don’t even get me started on the grey meat in the palabok, that’s a whole nother review in itself. Sorry lutong Bahay, but I just don’t think your food is worth eating in my own Bahay.

We came here for breakfast and ordered the corned beef, longsilog and milkfish. Food was good and it felt as we were in someone’s house. The lady working there was very sweet and they have books for the kids to read and keep busy with. We will be returning again the next time we are in the area!

This place just feels like home. It’s ran by an older woman and the second you walk in, she greats you and offers you the menu of the day. The prices are super cheap for the amount of food you get, and all her stuff is freshly made to order. While she was cooking my food, she had me try Filipino corn nuts and suggested I get the halo halo as my afternoon dessert. I will definitely be coming back. Pittsburg is pretty much a food dessert in my eyes, but now I’ve found a hidden gem!

Ordered a bunch of platters here for a housewarming party. Lutong Bahay helped us out and made our orders simple! She was able to give us «samples» and gave us a deal since we ordered a lot of food. If you want a «Filipino home cook» meal, come here!

Good place. Friendly. Just like home. Open pretty late on Saturdays. Their Sinigang is good just like mama use to make it.

I enjoy everything I’ve tried. I’m half Filipino and grew up with home cooked Filipino food on a daily basis. Lutong Bahay doesn’t disappoint. The flavor is just like my family used to make when I was home. My husband and kids love this place, too. They’re great for eating in, take out, also catering. We have ordered pancit bihon(the thin rice noodles) and all kinds of lumpia for parties. Everyone raves about it and asks where we got it. So good. Too bad they’re closed today, or I’d be ordering something for pick up right now!

I went here for the first time today. When I got inside the place, it felt like home. the decors inside the restaurant was full of culture and I love how friendly the staff are. As for food serving, for a $ 7 combo you get 2 bowls of rice, 2 eggs, and your choice of entrée. The serving is plentiful and I am going back again whenever I have time. I definitely recommend this spot if you’re craving for some Filipino food. They will not disappoint.

I’ll edit my review after trying. One star for now for being closed when the sign on the door says open Sundays at 10am, and they were closed at 11:20. What a bummer. Unilocal says they’re open at 10 also.

First time trying this place when we placed a big catering order for thanksgiving and we were not disappointed! The most talked about dishes were the buko pandan, shrimp ukoy and pancit! We will def be placing more orders from them. :)

Never fails to always come here. I’ve been coming here for years and all I can say is hands down! I call them and order my food and while I’m driving down to eat or pick it up Which totally makes it seem easier as well because I don’t have to wait. Always great on their customer service!

The owner made me feel welcomed although other customers were staring. I feel so dumb not looking at her creative display of a menu above the cash register, but I knew exactly what I wanted. I was denied a couple days ago because a friend changed her mind about delivering me breakfast at work. The craving was unfulfilled. Today ahhhhh today was a different story. All I asked for was Tocino with rice, but I forgot to ask for garlic fried rice. I found the vinegar, poured it into my little dish and waited for my breakfast to come! It was delicious! She knew I wanted garlic fried rice and it’s what I got even though I didn’t say it. I typically like my egg yolks cooked a little longer and she knew that, too. Maybe my face said it all, «I’m craving a taste of home please give me it.» When I paid for my breakfast, another customer was picking up her fresh lumpia. So funny how the other customer was explaining to me what it was. I was laughing inside and smiling on the outside. I nodded in agreement that it looked tasty because it sure did! The owner was showing it off to me because I’m not a regular. She told me they make their own crepes for it. Music to my ears! She gave me a copy of the daily menu but was missing their catering menu. I told her the food was very good and I will be back.

I really liked the service the lady in the front was really nice. I ordered take out beef steak, and tapsilog and when I took the food home I made my husband a plate and he realized the food tastes burnt. Or the taste when your frying pot was used to cook several food items therefore the food that was made turned out tasting burnt. I called made a complaint they told me to drive all the way back from brentwood to Pittsburg and to make sure to bring my food. Told them I couldn’t make it back until 2 – 3 business days. They said okay that’s fine just make sure you freeze the food so we can see the food was burnt. I am not going back to this place!!!

We love this place! Everyone is always very happy and friendly. My husband and I love trying these small family restaurants because they usually end up being the best places. My coworkers always order from here too. Good portions and they have breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you’re having a party I recommend a tray of lumpia We’ve been eating here for a few months now and I tell everyone to try it.

So in love with this place… our experience is so amazing. I have nothing but good things to say about the place itself, the food, and the customer service. Came here on a Sunday afternoon for late lunch. I ordered tocilog and my boyfriend ordered kawsilog. Both plates are so good. Their turon is even more amazing! And the halo-halo… the best one I’ve ever had ever since I left the Philippines. I’ve tried halo-halo from different places before but nothing can beat the halo-halo here. Most places use mainly just canned and pre-packaged ingredients. But the halo-halo comes with much more than just that. It has the usual beans, nata de coco, and all that but it also has a good serving of banana, langka, sweet potato, and ube halaya! To top it off, it still has a scoop of ube ice cream as well and leche flan. And customer service here is just outstanding. They all make us feel so welcomed and taken care of. The whole time we were here, my boyfriend and I constantly felt as if we were just at a relative’s house!

We only got halo-halo because we had just eaten but we’re definitely going to get lunch or dinner here soon. The halo-halo was great and has fresh ingredients instead of the artificially colored gels you find in halo-halo from other places. Neither me or my boyfriend are Filipino and we both had a few questions but the lady at the counter was super sweet and helpful. If the explosion at the Mexican restaurant a few doors down from here is taking a toll on their business, it really is a shame because Lutong Bahay needs to be open for every time I come home from college to Pittsburg!

Hands down to the best Filipino restaurant that I have tried SO far in Pittsburg! I was so happy to try this place after seeing all the good reviews about it from my Unilocal friends. Restaurant is located near the gas station and parking is available in the back. Once you walk in you will notice that its a very small seating area with only 3 – 4 tables. I like how they designed the menu on the wall rather then wasting paper. TV is available for you to watch and they also have different varieties of drinks. Customer service was great! Young lady took my order and was very patient while I took FOREVER to find out what I wanted to order. There is an older woman that makes all the food! :) I ordered the Garlic Rice with Adobo and Shrimp Lumpia. I was surprised to see that the food came out so quickly! Less than 10 mins! Everything was so YUMMY! I will definitely be back to order more from the menu! I cant believe this place has been around for almost 3 years and I am just finding out about this from Unilocal

Hat a way to end a fantabulous weekend. I asked the girls what they wanted to eat. On our way to drop Sarah home, she wanted Filipino food. We found lutong bahay on Unilocal and wanted to give it a try. Te owner Lorina was very friendly and helpful. Price is reasonable foe the portion. Place is not big but the service and food were amazing. Will definitely be coming back.

This place is pretty good. The best authentic Filipino food in the area! Service was great! The ladies were so welcoming and always made sure we were doing okay. Oh and they always give us free sinigang soup on the side :) SOYUMMY with the silog plates! They make everything fresh if it’s not on their trays at the front. I recommend the losilog and other silogs! They also have okoy which I have not had in awhile! It was okay… maybe needs to be more crunchy :) I’m definitely coming back here to try more stuff!
