Light The Bay Christian Academy

I love LTB preschool. My 3yr old started preschool last summer and he loves the school as well.

My daughter has been attending Light The Bay Christian Academy since Pre-​School and she loves it. The Staff is the most caring and understandable group of individuals. They really go above and beyond to make me feel at ease to have my daughter attend this center. They have been so helpful in all of my needs and my daughter’s.
It’s a small private school so the staff is very limited (That’s understandable) but honestly, that’s what I like the most. I feel like they actually listen to any concerns I might have and I get the attention I deserve and so does my daughter.
My daughters has learned so much here that I don’t think she would’ve at any other school. By December my kindergartener was READING!!! It was an amazing feeling and I owe it all to the amazing education of this school and of course, MRS. FOLTZ. My daughter loves her so much and she’s actually pretty upset that the school year is coming to an end.
Overall, I’m really happy I made the sacrifice and decision to enroll her at Light The Bay.

Amazing! Seriously, my son’s kindergarten teacher taught him to read in no time. If you want your children to excel academically then enroll them in this school– it’s worth the money! I will not need to enroll this child in KUMON or Sylvan as this school provides all of the necessary reinforcements as well.

Our son, who is now in kindergarten attended Light the Bay Preschool for 2 years.
We know that his time at LBP impacted his confidence and educational stability greatly. As parents we have so appreciated the nurturing environment provided by both staff and program. This safe, clean and fun atmosphere set our son up to enjoy school. His being able to adapt easily into kindergarten both academically and socially are a few of the by products of this great preschool.

My son has been in this school since Kindergarten and is now a 5^th grader. My daughter started in Pre-​school and is now a 2^nd grader. We all love the school & teachers.
They’ve learned above their grade levels and feel safe and happy in the school environment. I hope the church and administration staff does something more than just pray to get new students in the school, though.
Mrs. Cozzone and Ms. Gish are awesome teachers. They all love their kids.

I have mixed feelings about writing this review. I attended Christian Center grades K through 3 (years 1985 – 89). Although I am certain the staff has changed, my experience was detrimental to my development. I will share my experience with any parent considering the school for their kids. Just message me and I’ll give the details and as a prospecting parent, you can judge for yourself.
In short my experience overall was okay. I liked my classmates and most of my teachers, I learned some stuff… but unfortunately I had a couple bad experiences that I wouldn’t wish on any child including corporal punishment and not meeting my needs as a student with learning disabilities.

This was my 3^rd elementary school back in the day. Back then the teachers were nice and the students didn’t try to kill each other. I really enjoyed going to this show when I was younger and appreciated the uniforms b/​c I’m a complete weirdo that actually happens to enjoy wearing both plaid… and jumpers. he neighborhood the the school is in really is one of the better schools in Pittsburg as well. There is a Boy and Girls Club across the street so there is always something to do after school if you can’t pick your kids up on time. I went to this school for…2 years… i dont regret it! I guess thats a good sign. But I left here to go to public school. I mean jeez it is expensive.
