This was so much better on this visit! I highly recommend asking for the hot salsa to mix in with what they bring to the table — when they tell you to be careful, take heed! Mix in a little at a time because it is spicy for sure but delicious! The chips were hot and fresh and kept coming! Margaritas were ok — we got the .99 special and should have gone with something off the regular menu but at .99 and after 1 — you don’t really care. The food was really good. The taco had a crispy shell and the beef was perfectly seasoned. The chili relleno was perfection — the pepper was tender and not overpowered with cheese or batter. The cheese enchilada was good — my least favorite of the 3 but still good! Next time I will try it with the cheese on top as well. Service was excellent and our food came out quickly. Our server was attentive and kept us supplied with water, chips, and salsa. Can’t wait to go back! And we are back again June 2016 with a large group — we were seated and served quickly. I couldn’t resist the chili relleno again — it is by far the best I have ever had — a friend tried it too and she agreed! Excellent Mexican food in Pittsburg!

Best bang for the buck restaurant in Pittsburg. Everytime I want something nice and to share a moment with my friends, I go there. Their Pollo De Oro, their fish tacos are to die for. Lovely place as well!

This restaurant has moved and is currently(Nov 2015) on Pine, north of PSU and just a couple blocks south of Memorial Auditorium. I couldn’t find the actual updated street address but it’s very easy to miss even with a nice sized building and ample parking. Inside it’s spacious and service is attentive if a little slower than most. I wasn’t a fan of the salsa(it reminded me of jarred pasta sauce?!) but the chips were good and more importantly my meal was fantastic. I had their version of huevos con chorizo and it was perfection(and a nice large portion) done omelet style with delicious rice & salad to accompany the main event. My husband tried the fish and wholeheartedly approved. We were in a party of six and everyone(!) raved about their meals… can’t beat that. Good prices too. Their menu is massive with a lot more variety than even some of our favorite MO/KS/OK Mexican restaurants. Will return for sure!

I cannot recommend this place highly enough. We’re in town with 11 people from IL and this is the BEST restaurant. Friendly staff, simple and welcoming décor, and most importantly the food is FANTASTIC. Large portions, low price, and just outstanding flavor and quality. The best guac i’ve gotten in a restaurant.

The food here has really good flavor! Their portions are a little conservative. I’m picky when it comes to chips and salsa and theirs are both great. I usually get whatever the special is for that day. Saturdays they have $ 1 domestic beer which is great. The place is drafty though because its small and they use each door on different sides of the building. Not the mention the gentleman’s restroom is located outside. Hands down the best mexican restaurant in town when it comes to the food.

We love eating here almost every time we are in Pittsburg, and it is certainly the best Mexican restaurant in that town. We do wish the portions were larger. They do not serve guacamole with their fajitas. And I don’t like their red sauce, although their chips are good. Atmosphere is not among the best, as the place looks like a converted gas station. But even saying all that, I mostly love their food, and their Mexican rice is the best rice I’ve had south of Kansas City. They have daily specials and great prices. The service is among the best I’ve ever had. Not to be missed when you are in Pittsburg and want an alternative to all those chicken places.
