Cafe Pica Deli

Amazing sandwiches, fresh ingredients you haven’t lived if you haven’t been here. Close too early is my only complaint the food is ¹⁰⁄₁₀.

Café Pica Deli is located just outside the Pittsburg Library, police department and courthouse so it’s somewhat hidden from the public. Someone told me about this place so I decided to give it a try.
First Impression:
The lady behind the counter was very friendly and upbeat considering it 3PM and only an hour before closing. The place is clean and there is seating for about 20 – 25 people including a couple of tables in a patio area.
I ordered the «TurkeyCado» on a Dutch crunch bread. I enjoyed it a lot. It’s your traditional turkey and avocado sandwich with sprouts, red onions, tomato and I chose pepper jack cheese — it was very good!!!
The size of the sandwich is big and the price very reasonable ($ 7). The items on the menu are from $ 4 — $ 7. To top it off, they serve Peet’s Coffee which for me is a big plus. The only downside (if it’s even that) is that if you want a drink refill, it’ll cost you $ 1.
If you’re in the area, stop by and enjoy a deli place that’s not a cookie cutter.

Unmatched convenience. If you’re stuck at the courthouse for jury duty, go here for coffee, snacks, even a sandwich.

Really nice and convenient café just off of Railroad Ave. exit on Hwy 4 in Pittsburg. They’re open from 7am to 4pm Monday-​Friday, catering mainly to the daily workers and visitors at City Hall and the courthouse, both of which are just a few steps away.
My favorite food here is the couscous salad, which is served cold together with walnuts, cranberries and spices. It’s the perfect brunch/​lunch or to-​go food, so if you’re planning a road trip during the week and leaving in the morning or daytime, this is the best place to stop just before you leave.
They also serve Peet’s Coffee, and they have other foods like sandwiches and meals you would expect to find at a café coffee shop.
The same people have been working here since they opened, and you can reliably expect there to be good coffee, good food and a clean environment here.
Also, there is plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating, and lots of parking. The local library is in the same building (on the other side, facing the Hwy 4 freeway). I’ve never seen it crowded at this café, usually a small group, 3 to 5 people here at a time. The only problem is that you can’t go outside to smoke a joint since it’s next to the courthouse AND the police station, too.

I was looking for a good deli in the area other than the chains like togos or subway. I found this one and thought it had to be good if it was by a police station. My bf and I have it a shot.
We each built our own sandwiches. They had a great variety of all fresh ingredients. Maria was who helped us and she was very friendly and had great recommendations. My bf always makes 1000 modifications to his food and she was very willing and helpful. Good customer service is everything to me.
We took our sandwiches to go and enjoyed them at home. We also had to try their fresh baked cookies which looked so appetizing in their display case. Everything was great!
I really wanted to give it a 4.5. I didn’t give it a full 5 just because I wasn’t blown away by the sandwich. I have to be blown away for a 5. But it was good and I’ll definitely go back!

The El Dorado caught my eye. My son said he was hungry too so I decided to get something we can share. I decided on the Turkeyrado. I knew he wouldn’t eat the avocado and sprouts so I told the lady behind the counter what I wanted but my son wouldn’t eat the aforementioned condiments so I asked for the condiments on the side. Sheesh! You would think I ran over this chicks cat! She had that janky raise of the eyebrow that you give when you really want to roll your eyes but fear getting slapped. Ya, that one. Rude!!!
Sandwich was tasty though!
Slightly pricey, $ 10 for sandwich, drink and chips.

Awesome food, great selection and friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and will be returning!

Café near City Hall and the Courthouse. Love their homemade sandwiches and baked goods. They also have chips, snacks, candy and yummy salads.
Service is great and there is outdoor seating. Located next to the library!
