Stopped in during a road trip and had food poisoning for about 12 hours after. The food is garbage and the waitress we had wasn’t any better. Please stay away from this slop pit and just go grab some Sonic.

After seeing that this place attracts people from all over the country, I had to return to see if it was as good a second and third time. It was.
I had eggs over easy, hash browns, bacon, and wheat toast for breakfast. It was all good.
Pork chops, potatoes, salad, green beans for dinner. Again, all good.
Service was fast, food well prepared and hot when served and patrons friendly.

Based on Unilocal reviews, the hubs and I were leery, but a local friend assured us the food was very good. It was! Fried pork chops, fried okra, mashed potatoes with gravy, roll. YUM. Service was very good and the cook gave a shout out from the kitchen. It was clean. The atmosphere was homey.
Oh, and they have a small stage for live music.
Looking at past reviews, some are very ugly and reek of personal vendetta, so try them and judge for yourself.

I stopped by to have a meal, while on town visiting my best friend and the food was horrible, the staff was even worse. Their attitude was written All over their faces. Condescending and rude. Ill never eat here again. Ive seen so much attitude in all my life

Service is terrible and servers all have an attitude, owners don’t get involved and just sit behind the counter. It is the same every time I’ve been there. The last time I was there it took 90 minutes to get breakfast and it was under cooked. I won’t go back and recommend to keep driving!

Worst country cooking in Pittsburg. The atmosphere is terrible, and it smelled like cigarette smoke inside the restaurant, the service is unfriendly, and the food was cold and bland. I expect my fritters, fried chicken, and fried anythings to be crunchy and warm, not soggy and cold. I kindly asked to have it thrown back in the fryer or put in the oven and got a blank stare and a rude comment as she walked away. Not very southern, and not very kind.

I travel quite a bit for work and somehow managed to stumble into this place. I enjoy local home cooked meals when on the road but unless your home is a homeless shelter, this place is pretty bad. The lady waitress was polite but not pleasant and the food seemed like it came frozen from the local grocery store.

The food is below average and the server was very inexperienced and nonprofessional. I ordered a breakfast that the server recommend. Cold eggs and non crispy bacon.
Skip this place, you will find a better breakfast at McDonalds.

Service was really awful, and the fact their was what looked like a pubic hair in my food seem to be of no concern to them, they would not even swap the food out, even though it was a gray hair and obviously not mine, since I am just 30. Don’t know if the food was any good as I refused to eat it since they added there own gray pubic hair garnish. Oh and the bathroom literally had what looked like human poop on the floor, told the staff of this to and it was of No concern again.

Found some few piece of dirty hair in my plate of dinner and the meal tasted really bad. Had stomachache that night and had to go to a hospital for extreme bowel movement and 3 days of diarrhea suffering. Please do not go here.

Ugh, the food is bad and the service is downright horrible. It took over thirty minutes to get a basic meal (burger and fries).
The burger was definitely undercooked, and the fries were simply soggy. The waitress also acted like she didn’t really want to be there. I would avoid this place.

Fried frozen (not fresh) seafood, Bag-​o-​Salad from Walmart and old grease you can smell from the highway — Big Earl’s is not the place to eat if you want good food in a pleasant atmosphere. Better to drive a few miles into town and feast on the locally famous hot links than waste your money eating frozen mushy fish fried in old grease here.
