Unbeatable farmer’s market! Local artists provide music while you browse tents and displays of fresh veggies, hand carved wood, homemade pastries, jellies, and jams, and local organic meats. You’ll love what you get there. Ask the vendors for suggestions as to recipes or methods for their food — they eat what they grow and they know how to make it! After getting some meat from Lilly Den Farms, grabbing some veggie sides from whoever’s got what you’re looking for, the Chatham Mills Co-Op has a great selection of beers by the bottle. Have a seat and a sip and enjoy the music on the lawn.

Went on a tour of the farmers market yesterday and was very impressed. Most of it is unused space, that they will soon be re-modeling to house different companies. There is a dance studio inside and amazing art work on the walls. There is a store that I wasn’t able to go inside of, but seemed to have anything you could possibly need. I can’t wait to see the warehouse aspect of it, once it is complete with various companies. And the restaurant they are building — Oakleaf, that will have progressive american foods. It was really interesting to see the restaurant in its pre-opening stages, meaning they were still putting panels on the walls behind the bar, and painting.
