Carolina Brewery & Grill

Have been here several times, food straightforward american pub-​style, good but nothing super exceptional. Do have some useful full vegetarian options. Service less than stellar, but hey, its a relaxed local brewery for going with the gang or family; perfect for that.

We happened to pull into this plaza looking for lunch. Sometimes you just get lucky. I had the burrito bowl which was a nice balance of all of the ingredients. Warm chicken, cool guacamole, flavorful black beans.
Since we are new to North Carolina, I felt the need to try one of the local brews. The sky blue was light and not too hoppy, just what I was looking for. We may have a hard time passing by this place to try any other restaurants when we get back to Pittsboro.

The place to hang out and have a beer in Pittsboro. We like to go for dinner and Wed night trivia. All of the burgers are very good and cooked to order which is getting hard to find now. The Tuscan chicken is another one of my favorites for something a little lighter but still a full meal. All of the beers are good. Service is always good too.

We are new to the Pittsboro, Chapel Hill area, and delighted to have found The Carolina Brewery & Grill! The food is very good, the brews are delicious, and the people are friendly!

food is great, beer is good, but the afternoon service is rotten. Very slow, you have to wave your hands around to get the waitress attention, if there is even one in the dining room. Same with the bartender, just seems to be uninterested in serving you, even at the bar.
Love you Robert but your afternoon staff stinks.
More than just one time, seems to be the norm the last few times I came in, even for just a beer or two. These people are just plain lazy and not really interested in service.

Unimpressed. Steak burger was very good — 4.5 stars. Hummus was also very good at — 4 stars. Everything else was kinda weak. Wings — 2.5, shrimp dish — 3.0, beer — 3.5 and service 3.0. Worst part was that their trademark item is the handmade ice cream sandwich, and they ran out at 8:30 on a Saturday???

Delicious food and beer. :) Can’t wait to come back!

Friend had the fish and chips and I had the club sandwich with side salad. Food was delicious!

Food is usually pretty good, but the last few times we’ve been, it seems to have gone downhill. Last night we waited over ten minutes for someone to take our order and waited over half an hour to get our meal, which came out wrong I should mention. While the manager did comp our meal, it did not make up for the fact of being there for over an hour and a half and our order being wrong. Our waitress was pleasant, but all the servers there seem less than thrilled to be there. I hope they can improve on their service and quality.

We’ve come to this restaurant on multiple occasions because the food is predictable. The burger and nachos are solid choices and we love the tacos. However, we’ve doubted going back due to the service. On multiple occasions we have been charged a few dollars extra in unexpected places. The servers all seemed slightly preoccupied and were not paying attention to our table. Come here if you want some good bar food with some bad service.

Stopped in on a Sunday evening and enjoyed dinner on the patio with my parents. We ordered the appetizer nachos and it was HUGE — way more than just three people needed for an appetizer, so definitely bring friends for this one! I enjoyed the veggie burger and took half of it home — the fresh-​baked local bun was «tops» (had to make the pun, sorry y’all). The only not so great entrée was the bar-​b-​q dish my dad ordered… he wasn’t sold on it. Definitely try the beer flight — great value with generous sample pours!

Ate here on 8÷8÷2015 with a group of 9. Lets start with the GOOD. The Bloody Marys and Fish and Chips were awesome. The fish and chips were probably the best I have ever eaten. The others in our group said their food was also good. It was a beautiful day and the seating outside on the patio was very nice.
The BAD. The waitstaff seemed confused and never knew who order what. He even brought us 2 pitchers of beer when no one ordered pitchers and said it was less expensive that the individual mugs that some people ordered. Well it also got hot sitting in the sun so 1 pitcher was not drank… hot beer… not good. Also he split the beer among all checks… well OK but hubby and I had Bloody Marys and we don’t drink beer.
This visit was a mixed bag. Very good bar food, warm beer and poor service. The server never brought our checks and it took 15 – 20 minutes inside to sort it out.

I really like this place. The staff is friendly and the food is usually very good.
Favorites: the onion rings, brownie with ice cream (really good!), handmade veggie burger, and fish and chips.
They have a point system where you get points for the meals that you purchase and once you get enough you can get a free dinner!

The Food was great, beer cold and our waitress even better. I give the place a 5 star rating. They deserve more stars but Unilocal limits me to 5. If your driving thru stop in and treat yourself to a delicious dining experience.

PITIFUL!!! called in a to-​go order and I think we got yesterday’s order. Order didn’t have any condiments or napkins. .was told” I don’t think we have salt and pepper. «on a Friday at 7pm, I was hoping for hot, fresh fries. …I’d hate working here, too…

Mediocre at best. Wings were not that good and the root beer was not that good. Overpriced for the quality of food that they serve. I don’t expect a miracle when it comes to barfood however there are so many better choices than this establishment. I did not have the beer and I do not believe that a brewery should rely solely on the quality of its beer when it’s really the food that keeps people coming back over and over. I will not be back.

I have had dinner here a dozen times. It has always been a hit or miss endeavor with them. Now I do ask for a few special things, so sometimes I get it and then not. I always ask for the bun to be toasted or grilled, and the fries to be very crispy.
My wife and I went there the other evening, a handful of people in the dining room. No waiting ! We were seated and greeted by our server. The server was very upbeat and informed us of the specials. We ordered and I thought it took a long time to get the food, but I may have lost perception of time. We received our food. My fries were not crisp and the bun was not toasted. The server said, «I will take it back and get it done right «. I said «no forget it». He did apologize profusely. But they were not that busy. I could see if they had a full house and such. but not this evening. I am not a fan of any food being laid on the table in front of you that you ordered and then taken away. No that is not right. This will not stop me from coming back here. I just won’t frequent it as much as other restaurants in the area, since I line in Pittsboro.

Great service and the food was nice. We had a cheeseburger with delicious homemade chips, chicken fingers with yummy fries, Brunswick stew and mini fish tacos. Fish and chicken were slightly over breaded but still good. Tacos had brownish guacamole but a nice heat to it and the picked red onions were a nice touch.

I have enjoyed meals at Carolina Brewery several times, but will never return after the incredible rudeness of last night’s «hostess» Emily. Not only was she stunningly hostile to our party of six, but her negative interactions with staff members were very disturbing to witness,& truly ruined our dining experience.
Her disgruntled & unsmiling attitude toward repeat customers with reservations was completely unacceptable.

Food was really good, ambiance was really good. We were tired and hungry. It took a little while to cook up two burgers, but that’s OK. I’m a patient gal. I got the burger with pimento cheese and bacon on it. Really delicious, really filling.
Kinda have a problem with the price… $ 27 (before tip) for 2 burgers (non-​local beef) and 2 sodas??? And that’s with a Foursquare check-​in 10% discount. As great as that burger was, I should have gone to the McDonalds next door instead…
