Just your average hipster coffee joint. They don’t accept credit card, so bring cash. The seating is kinda limited in the inside, but they do have a nice backyard area to sit in. Otherwise a limited food selection, and nothing you haven’t seen before. I’d pass and go get a donut at Surfside up the street.

Cute place. Like the vibe. Service was EXTREMELY slow. And we were the only ones there. Food is good though.

The breakfast burritos are amazing, grilled panini style! Good coffee too. Only four stars because their hours don’t seem to be consistent. Their sign says open at 8:00, closed on Mondays, but they were closed on a Friday after 8.

Needless to say I was quite disappointed in the service here. We’ve been here a few times and have actually enjoyed it, but this time I’m not sure what happened? There was absolutely no one in the restaurant and our breakfast sandwich(that came out cold), and oatmeal took them 30 minutes to bring it out to us? Ridiculous. I’m pretty bummed because this was our place to walk to and sit out on the back lawn area to enjoy our Sunday breakfast. The food is ok, selection not that big… but, well, to me service is everything. Food can be ok, but service can make or break the experience. Like I said, we have been here quite a few times before, were regulars for a while, and have been greeted and had good customer service. But am sad to say, this visit has been disappointing.

I am only giving this two stars because I used to like this place so much. Sadly this place has lost my business. It used to be one of our favorite places to walk to in the morning with our dog for a little breakfast and coffee. The service is now horrible and service truly is everything. We were the only people here and our egg sandwich and oatmeal took 20 minutes to come out. You would think with this type of delay they would come out and say something but no they didn’t. When I finally received my sandwich the oatmeal was still not ready so if I wanted a warm sandwich I would have to be rude and eat without my wife. Needless to say I ate a cold sandwich. The sandwich even if hot was not that great. This place has such great potential and they are blowing it. I’m not sure what’s happened here but sadly we won’t be back.

Cute place with good coffee and chessboards and other games to play. Friendly folks. They need to clean the dining room more though.

Stayed at Pismo for the week and walked in to Cool Cat’s for breakfast. Chill place with a limited menu. They offered Breakfast Burritos and sandwiches. Very good and we went back 3 times in a week. The gal behind the counter was super casual and was a local hangout for the neighbors. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was because of the limited menu and the price was a bit high, but not too much to worry about.

We only stopped in for a drink, which was just okay, but the staff was super friendly and made our visit fun. Sitting outside was great on a warmer day and my daughter enjoyed running around the grass while the cat watched her. She sure loved that cat!

Such a nice little spot with great Pismo flair. The small shop has the namesake feline prowling or snoozing around. Simple menu of things done right. Perfect for a quick stop for your morning coffee or an extended break from the beach. Local art is on display and for sale, and as others have mentioned, the breakfast burritos are off the charts. Make sure to ask for homemade salsa on the side.

This is such a local surfer hang… and there is an Orange Cat on premise! Very simple but tasty menu. Breakfast/Lunch items. It’s off the main drag but adds charm to your Pismo Beach Experience. They have an outdoor area complete with wood picket fence. Service is very personable and accommodating. Totally Pet Friendly. Just wish they would turn it into a beer and wine place at night!

Super cute tiny café. This family joint makes a tasty BLT. They also offer coffees, breakfast sandwiches and burritos, and smoothies. The folks here are also very friendly. Don’t expect super fast service, though. Just poll up a chair in their garden area and chill out while you wait for your order. We like to stop here after riding bikes to the Monarch Grove.

Great local spot. Casual, comfortable, local stopping point due to the grass yard with tables. This is where the kitchen size house belonging to the orange cat is. Menu is very basic. Breakfast burrito or sandwich at breakfast time. Coffee, orange juice, tea. Fruit side is much better than the melon that usually means. Berries and etc. If you are visiting this town and out for your walk, this is a must stop. It is near the wood bridge and the pier. I am sure you walked south on the beach and back on the trail with the butterfly trees. So there you are.

I have no idea how this place got 4.5 stars. I got the burrito without the tortilla because they have no GF options — the potatoes were dry and possibly someone’s leftovers from the day before, the eggs were like rubber, the bacon was so small and bland. We also ordered a smoothie and had to send it back because they added sugar to it. It was like drinking frozen koolaid. I don’t recommend this place.

Their burritos are sooo good! My sister got the grilled cheese and loved it as well. I’m from LA so we don’t have much small cafes like this. I loved the environment and the employees were really friendly. Not to mention the cute cat that lives on the property. Can’t wait to be back :)

I have driven by this spot a hundred times while headed to the beach, never thinking to stop and try it… what is wrong with me? Cash only, just as a note :) Good fresh coffee, super friendly staff. Small seating area inside(why would you sit inside?!) and nice picnic tables outside. I had a breakfast burrito… finished on the panini press… yes please! It was sausage, cheese, bacon, eggs, and hashbrowns. No real seasoning aside from what’s already inside. It needed hot sauce, and maybe some sour cream or something to give it that extra zing, but it was hearty and tasty! Good prices, and the service was pretty quick too. All with the classic laid back beach vibe. Chill…

Just a couple blocks from Pismo’s main tourist area. Friendly staff & very dog friendly. Check-in picture is in the converted backyard with grass and water bowl for dogs. Breakfast burrito was«just okay», with bacon, cheese, egg, & potatoes. But only«okay» since I’m spoiled with all the excellent breakfast burritos in Fresno. Wife absolutely loved the flavored yogurt w/fresh fruit & homemade granola. Overall a 4 star experience.

Great, friendly service. Stopped in for breakfast this morning and tried the breakfast burrito. It was amazing. I’m not sure if it was 100% fresh made to order. But it was delude and filled the void in my tummy. It’s not a very big spot, but it was beat the restaurants downtown that had long lines! When I’m hungry, I’m hungry!!! I get grouchy if I have to wait to get a table and wait to order, then wait to get my food! So this place was a blessing. Morris is a very old orange cat. He likes to chill under the bench. He also like to jump on your lap for a little love while your eating your breakfast. Morris looked like he could use a bath, and some veterinary care, but I couldn’t resist giving him some attention.

Morris the 18 yr old orange cat will greet you at the door if your lucky. I walked past all the lines in Pismo Beach down to this sweet little café and had a great cup of HOT and FRESH coffee and a breakfast burrito. The name caught my eye on Unilocal and I wanted to check it out. The menu is small and appears to sometime be sold out. This is a cozy place with a few tables inside and out too. I ordered a breakfast burrito at about 1:30pm on a Sunday… they were out of most things. but I was hungry and decided to give it a try. I come from the land of breakfast burritos(New Mexico) and was a sort of planning for the big burrito let down… being that it was 1:30pm on a Sunday in Pismo Beach. BOY! was I surprised… the café was closing up, so I took my brownbag full of burrito and hot coffee down two blocks to the beach(the south end of the Pismo boardwalk) and unwrapped my foil clad burrito. Yes, its good. Very good actually. The potatoes are seasoned with chile and cumin, the eggs cooked well and seasoned perfectly too, they pressed it warm and toasty on a panini maker making the cheese nice and melty and the side of tomato salsa was pretty good too. This burrito actually stands up very tall to my pure burrito loving palate. $ 7 burrito $ 2 coffee = Excellent meal at the beach I bet this is a local favorite… and a surfer favorite… and if you like orange cats… it may be you favorite too! Give it a try.

It is a very nice and quiet place. They have kitties decoration all around and the people are very nice. The coffee is good!
