Lots of fun if you like Rhone-style wines(and even if you *think* you don’t). Delicious, aromatic, and ripe on the palate, wine maker Curt Schlachlin doesn’t disappoint.

Absolutely excellent! A great tasting room in the heart of downtown Pismo Beach. This is seriously good wine and the tasting room is spacious and comfortable. The staff we spoke to definitely knew the product and were very friendly. We bought several bottles and will recommend this place for everyone. There are several excellent places to eat nearby including Chop Street and Giuseppe’s(which is right across the street). Love this place and can’t wait to go back

Went in there a couple of weeks ago with friends. Tasting room is very nicely decorated, a little bit country and a little bit modern. Nice selection of wines from two labels, both offerings reds and whites. Really enjoyed most of the offerings and the price points are surprisingly good for a boutique wine room in a tourist town. Had the cheese sampler plate which hit the spot. Bought a couple of bottles and went on our way. Great option if you want to taste some wine but don’t want to make a thirty minute drive to wine country.

Having stumbled upon the Offering wine(red blend) at a wine bar while visiting friends in Chicago, my husband and I just had to stop by the Sans Liege tasting room on our drive back to San Francisco from Santa Barbara. While not unexpected, we were very happy with most of the wines we tried. Particularly happy with a couple of the whites we tried(Cotes du Coast was our favorite, followed by the Call to Arms). Of the reds, we really enjoyed the Transcendentalist, which is a blend of three different vintages(2011, 2012, and 2013). The tasting room itself is very cute and the service was spot on. The price point on these wines is also very good, with most of them falling in the mid $ 20’s to low $ 30’s.

Interesting experience. Wine is definitely subjective and as thus all wines won’t be everyone’s tastes. The young girl that was pouring was sweet. But I wasn’t impressed with my pours. Didn’t buy any bottles from here… but like I said wine’s totally subjective. And there was nothing special about our visit.

Stopped in here real quick for a drink while waiting for our dinner table. Since it was after 6pm, we were really sad to hear that they only offer wines by the glass and no tastings. But the girls were kind enough to offer us a couple taste before committing to a whole glass. I found the Cotes du Coast to be way to sweet. I was surprised that it was on the top of the tasting menu. Really should belong to a more dessert wine category. The Marsanne was quite delicious and was what I decided on. Hubs went for a Grenache. Very solid pours for the glass! The tasting room was decent sized and had a bunch of very comfy couches to sit on. The candles they sell in there smell so amazing and super cute that they were made out of wine bottles. But maybe not worth the 20 bucks a pop they were charging…

When we got to the door there was a sign saying they would be closed Wed/Thursday for Thanksgiving but they let us come in and taste anyway. Loved this! We tasted 6 from each«menu» and they were very different and delicious. I’m not a huge red fan however their red’s where very good.

A close friend recommended San Liege to me so i made my first visit on Sunday afternoon. I must say that the wines are delicious and the girls behind the counter were wonderful. Christy was very sweet and made me feel relaxed and content in this comfortable tasting room just a few blocks from the beach. I left with an amazing Grenache called En Gedi. This wine taste every bit as good as the beautiful art on the bottle might suggest.

A wonderful combination of amazing wine and great people. I’ve been here many times and never miss an opportunity to come back. It’s a relaxing way to spend an afternoon or an even better stop before dinner at one of the nearby restaurants.

Very relaxed atmosphere and fabulous wines. There are two different flights of wine to taste and each has about 7 wines. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The setup is friendly enough to be welcoming to a normal beach go-er or to anyone even ready for a but if relaxed ritz. Try both flights, either in one go or on a second trip. The San Liege flight are the wines that are a bit«fancier» and the Woodwork wines would be the more«affordable» but you truly cannot taste the difference-in a good way! All the wines here are phenomenal and made with such expertise that you can taste in each one. To add, there are nice little clipboards with a full breakdown and info on each wine, a very nice touch for being able to enjoy your wine.

I love Sans Liege Wines, which I discovered in Old Auburn CA at the Carpe Vino Wine Bar. At the suggestion on fhe server tried the 2011 «The Offering». Well this changed me from a white to red wine drinker. I then went to the Wine Consultant(in Sacramento) to purchase a few more bottles of «The Offering» which I found to be absolutely amazing like so many of their wines. Later when visting Pismo Beach, I had the opportunity to visit the Sans Liege tasting room and really enjoyed myself there with the friendly and knowlegeable staff. I was also able to meet the talented winemaker, Curt Schalchlin. During my tasting there at Sans Liege, I was especially impressed with«The Adversary» Mouvedre. I served this at Thanksgiving and it left all the other reds, brought by others, in the dust. A friend even posted a picture of the bottle on FB subtitled«This is all what thanksgivng is all about!» Well I am now a wine club member as well as a fan. Sans Liege keep up the good work!

Wonderful, wonderful place! I never thought I’d like wine so much until I started visiting here. My favorite is the Groundwork Grenache. Every time I visit, the customers seem to really enjoy themselves. The place itself is open, pleasing to the eye, and not cluttered. It’s the type of place you can sit down on their comfortable couches and read a book with a really great glass of wine. That or converse with the wonderful staff. They are very sweet and down to earth and extremely knowledgable about the products. Stop reading this and go already!

We stopped here two weeks ago and had a great visit. Technically, they were not open yet, but the woman in the store was doing an interview, and she was gracious enough to open early for us when she finished. The wines are amazing! I especially loved the En Gedi(Grenache) and the Adversary(Mourvedre). Bought a few bottles to ship home. They were even better than I remembered. Curt makes great wines, and his choice of fruit and vineyards seems to be superb. Even his T-shirts are cool! Highly recommend!

We stopped at Sans Liege while we were out wine tasting with friends last weekend. We had a delightful tasting, and our friends liked the wine so much they also became members! Sans Liege has some of the best wine I’ve ever tasted… consistently good from year to year. And, it’s a small operation. My husband & I love being members here because we’re supporting a mom & pop that produces dynamite wine.

Truly the most beautiful place on Price Street to get a glass or a sip. Uncluttered, no tripping over boxes — it’s modern and clean without the wine crap we all don’t need, but when we have been tasting all day buy. This place focuses on the wine. Simple but complex… it can be done. The Winemaker came in while we were finishing up our tasting, and were buying wine his wife was showing off… it looks like a big city tasting room, but it’s family run and a great place to go. My favorites — the Groundwork Grenache — but saying that is like saying you have a favorite child… go try their wines and enjoy the gorgeous space too.
