This is a great neighborhood park with 2 playstructures: one geared toward younger toddlers, the other geared toward slightly older toddlers and school-age children. A large, sandy play area in the center houses 2 bucket swings and 2 big-kid swings. Seating options include a few benches around the perimeter and a few picnic tables(with BBQs although I have never seen them being used). There is plenty of room for running around and imaginative play. The women’s bathroom is suprisingly clean, complete with soap, toilet paper, and running water(!) compared to other public parks! Compared to other playgrounds in the area which seem to have zero shade, this park thankfully has some shade over 1 bench and the play structures. A cover should definitely be added over the swings and picnic table(to protect the kids from the high temps from the drought). Hopefully, the city will add this, after which I can raise the rating to 5 stars. Note that there is poison oak on the surrounding greenery, and there are signs warning about this.

My kiddos love this playground. I like that it is hidden from any busy streets and there is plenty of room to stretch little legs. It could use a little cleaning, every time we visit we find several pieces of trash mixed in the sand.(we throw it out of course) Less littering would make this hidden park a 5 star!

This seems to be a great little neighborhood park, east of the 101. I happened upon it during a morning walk, as I crossed over 101 from Oxford Suites and intended to walk some hills in the nearby residential areas. The park features a pond near the entrance and what appears to be some additional wetlands, a small but in good condition playground and a basketball court. What appealed to me was a gravel path that led south in the park behind the hills and through a forested area. It was a wide path with trees on one side and the hills on the other. At first, I was excited to follow it along and see where it led, but after about 5 minutes in, the houses up on the hillside disappeared and I felt very isolated. It didn’t seem to be a well traveled path and there was literally no cars in the parking lot when I first happened upon the area. At 8:30 in the morning, at least, it seemed eerie and not a great idea for a lone female to be walking by herself. Maybe I’m a big baby, but without seeing another soul, I got nervous and turned back. I’d love to try it again later in the day or with a buddy, because it did look like a lovely area. I hope the locals take advantage of the cute little playground area.
