Came here for work day lunch. Salads are really good. They offer a whole and a half. I had the smoked salmon salad and hubby had the ahi salad. The greens are fresh and locally grown. The ahi salad has way too much pickled ginger, I would suggest ordering it without. I also recommend getting a little avocado for the salmon salad, it takes it over the top. Nice outdoor seating, and some seating inside as well. They have burgers and tacos on the menu too, everything looks fresh and delicious.

Stumbled on this place. Awesome service, ambiance, music. Food was great! I had the beer battered fish tacos. excellent!.. but the side of black beans is pointless(and tasteless). The wife had the Caribbean Burger(on the specials board) with sweet potatoe fries heeellllaaaaa goood! Def recommend this place for great lunch and brew.

My family and I walked up and down the streets looking for a spot to eat that we haven’t eaten at already. We came across this place and I’m happy that we stopped to eat. I had their special of the day which was a Caribbean Burger. It was delish! My husband had the fish tacos which were also delicious! The ingredients were fresh and it didn’t feel like I was eating grease like the other restaurants in town. I enjoyed the décor and music. My kids enjoyed the kids burger and tots as well. I even snuck a bite. I hope to be back soon to try other things in their menu.

One of the best places to get a quick table, good beer, and great food. Tacos and tator tots are their highlights. Burgers can get messy, but are delicious. The wait staff(Gabby, Chelsea, and Nick) are welcoming and quick on their feet.

We stumbled upon this place on our way to Ventura and so glad we did. The service was impeccable and the décor is amazing Best part is the food is excellent and fresh. We both had a salad and all the ingredients tasted like they were fresh out of the garden. Topped with grilled chicken. My daughter had a grilled chicken sandwich on fresh focaccia bread with yummy fries. There is also an outdoor seating area and they provide blankets as well as a nice wine & beer bar. We will definitely be back

Besides the wonderful food which was super fresh and yummy, they served us even when we showed up a minute before closing! It did not compromise the quality of the food or customer service. A very chill and friendly vibe overall.

4 stars for food and 2 stars for service when we stopped in for lunch today. Our waitress was very dry and cold. That’s fine since we came to chat with our lunch group and not with her, but the fact that she didn’t smile once left us all feeling a little uncomfortable and wanting to leave quickly. We ordered two burgers, a salad and the tacos. Everyone enjoyed their meal a lot but I thought the bun for the burger tasted a little funky. My boyfriend and I also ordered two wines, and upon inquiring with our super friendly waitress about what wines they had available, for reds they only had a Pinot and a Côte du Rhone. We chose the Pinot, but upon inquiring about what region it was from or the brand we just got a blank stare and a shrug. Overall I would come back and cross my fingers for some better service that didn’t make us feel like we were intruding and bothering our waitress

I really wanted to like Chop Street more but ultimately the food failed so unfortunately this is more like 2 ½ stars… rounding up for service. The spicy tuna salad had very little flavor; the grilled chicken caesar just doesn’t work… one long chunk of romaine is grilled in addition to the chicken being grilled… then the chicken is sprinkled over the romaine long with the dressing. Just. Doesn’t. Work. Might work if the romaine wasn’t grilled — the flavor of that is not good. But still… total hipster presentation… not necessary. Bacon jalapeño burgers didn’t have any flavor… could have just been a regular burger and even then… no flavor. The tator tots were the only thing that were just okay. Finally, you can’t order alcohol on the patio… so no beer with lunch. On the bright side, the server was excellent. We were happy we could grab a couple of the blankets from the basket to sit on the patio and keep warm… with doggie at our feet under the table. Truly had hoped for better food…

The BEST mac & cheese I have ever had!!! It was a special of the evening and was to die for. The food network needs to do a special on this place. I would travel from San Diego(where I live) just to eat here again. The tater tots are equally delicious! You could taste the bacon pieces inside– sooo good! Loved dipping them in their ranch and siracha mayo. Everything that we saw coming out of the kitchen looked really fresh and yummy. Great prices, adorable place and friendly staff. You do not want to skip past this place if traveling through Pismo Beach.

We stopped in here for lunch. The restaurant is small but has a nice patio(note– no alcohol on the patio!). They have a good selection of beer and wine. I tried the Doghead Peche, which was tart and refreshing. The waitress was very nice and offered samples to help me make a decision. We ordered a Chicken Caprese sandwich, a spicy tuna salad, and a kids salad. Note that the kids menu is sparse. DH felt his sandwich was nothing to write home about, and I’d say the same about the salad(although the greens and fish were very fresh). The kids salad was simply mixed greens, a few tomatoes, and a few slices of carrots. I’m thinking that we should order burgers and fries next time. I can see this place being good for happy hour. Service was very friendly.

Talk about a hidden gem around Pismo Beach. What a discovery. Great service all around; courteous and friendly lady that made sure we had a great time at their restaurant. The environment, combined with the fresh air from the beach, made this a go-to place for a nice lunch on a weekend drive! Can I just mention that they have blankets for you to cuddle with when you’re cold and you’re sitting outside?(Must add that to my wishlist) Very cute and super comfortable place to bring friends and family to. Then came the salad and the fish tacos and the sweet potato fries. Oh yes. What a perfect blend of healthy to savory to just plain guilty pleasure delight. The Fish tacos, definitely a must-get if you’re craving some delectable beer battered alaskan halibut, mango-radish salsa, chipotle aioli and side of black beans. Presentation was on cue, and I had a great time chomping them down with ease. Sweet Potato fries? huge portions, and the sauces that came with it made it all the better. Spicy Tuna Salad? An amazing bowl of mixed arugula, romaine lettuce, red leaves, spicy sesame ahi tuna topped with edamame slaw, layers of avocado, wonton strips and a lightly wasabi vinaigrette. Healthy folks, get this one! An unique twist on something so simple. Prices are definitely reasonable(salad definitely), and the selection of food is just right. Oh yes, this place definitely is looking good right now!

Now if you’ve taken a look at my prior Unilocal reviews you know that I’m not one for salads as much as I am for french fries. Preferably, french fries topped with cheese, carne asada, guacamole and sour cream. And usually when people ask where to go for dinner, salads and sandwiches aren’t usually my first choice — unless they are Ike’s Place’s sandwiches. However, this has all taken a turn after trying Chop Street. The El Ranchero Salad may be the best salad I’ve ever had in my life. Yes, it’s a big statement, but I stand by it. The chipotle ranch dressing is perfect. It’s really meaty with 3 different kinds of meat I think. It’s a bit spicy. It’s fresh with veggies in there. It’s the whole package. It’s not a plain boring Caesar Salad, but a bonafide, all-star salad. I also tried the Kale Salad and some other salad I can’t remember the name of, but the Ranchero was definitely the winner. Me and my girlfriend liked it so much, we came back here the next day. And that means a lot, especially considering how we were only in Pismo Beach for a 24 hour period. They’ve also got a great beer selection, including one of my favorites — a Belching Beaver Peanut Butter Stout or something like that. It’s like a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup drink in your mouth. The prices are reasonable with small salads being around $ 7 and larger being around $ 11 – 12. The small was plenty for me. FYI tater tots are delicious here. I tried the brussel sprouts too, which were good, but I generally prefer them a little crispier. Nonetheless, winner winner chicken dinner.

Surprisingly, not a lot of chops here. I was looking forward to them. But the menu was perfectly fine anyhow. I had one of my favorite chicken pot pies ever. The flavor was its own, without giving up any of that happy-warm-mouth feel you want from a staple and a comfort food. It tasted like home, but it didn’t taste bland or overflowing with fat and filler. Nice hunks of chicken in there. My favorite part was that it was shaped like a stovepipe hat, tall and round, with a pastry lid on top of it. Really fun! And delicious. (Pastry shell was very tasty too, and just about the right consistency. All very good.) The one somewhat sour note here was that the wine bar next door had a band that night, or maybe it was open-mic night, but the guys who were playing, honestly, were not that good. And I like music, and I like a good bar band or a local guy, but this was just noisy and not much fun.(For one thing, he was doing all these morose numbers like Pink Floyd and I forget what; he also was much too loud, instead of sounding semi-acoustic and barely amplified.) The wine bar next door is, simply, inconsiderate. But we ate on the balcony, where they have a basket of blankets for the taking in case you get chilly, and we enjoyed the dazzling stars and the fresh air. Food was terrific, and if it hadn’t been for the annoying music from next door we would have been happy to stick around for dessert.

Fish tacos are delightful; gluten free house made batter… or you can go grilled! The Brussels sprouts are OUTOFTHIS world! Almonds, sage and emmanual cheese(from switzerland) — roasted to perfection! And for dessert… chocolate pot de crème… pure decadence …
